IPhone 3G used's review (great spoon) 『These spoons work great for toddlers. I have used different kinds of toddler spoons and these Sassy ones work best for my 1 yr old. Most toddlers at an early age dont have the coordination to turn their wrist when bringing the spoon to their mouth. so the arc in the handle makes it easier for them. I highly recommend this set of spoons. I am actually one here to buy more.』
(Short handles, but work) 『These spoons were shorter than I had anticipated, but our 15 month-old, who has good-sized hands, has no problem using them. The pair we received are green and orange.』
(Love it) 『The handles are user friendly for your little one to grasp. The spoon is deep so it holds more and the holes make it less likely for the food to spill. Remember not to use it for cereal and milk or other foods with thin gravies.』
(Great Product!!! Must have!) 『I LOVE these spoons. My 15 month old has trouble with his baby spoons (most are too small to hold much and not deep enough to retain the food). He can hold onto the handle of this and the countour makes him hold it right side up. The holes in the spoon are great, applesauce stays in much better than with a regular spoon. I will order more of these so I can have one with me at all times.』
(Handle too short) 『The idea behind this spoon is great. Holes prevent food from sliding as toddlers bring the spoon to their mouth. The curved handle is not long enough though. It needs to be maybe 20% longer. Otherwise, a great training spoon.』 『Held upside down, right side up or anywhere in between, Less Mess toddler feeding spoons encourage your child to self-feed. Unique holes help keep food on spoon longer resulting in a successful, easy and clean transition to self-feeding. Top rack dishwasher safe. Ages 9 mos. and up. Assorted Colors. 2 Pack.』
IPhone 3G used's review (These lights are REALLY bright.) 『I was looking for lights that would last a long time and not use a lot of electricity. I expected the LED Christmas lights to not be as bright as the traditional bulbs, but these lights are extremely bright. This year the tree looks as better than it ever has. I highly recommend these lights.』
(The best LED strings available) 『I've examined every LED Christmas string available in big retail and small specialty stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, getting in trouble plenty of times for plugging products into random outlets for inspection, and I can say this particular Bethlehem Lighting LED set offers the brightest and most vivid colors available. They've also managed to completely avoid the strobe effect cheap LED strings suffer from. As for durability, I've outlined decks, walkways and such with the clear version and left them operating year-round on a timer for evening illumination; the clear sets are going on two years of service and show no signs of deterioration, despite very heavy rains and scorching hot summers. Also, the clear/white LEDs are crisp and clean so the decorated areas will look upscale and high-tech, with light properties harmonizing with the stars above. Your neighbors (or customers, for businesses) will appreciate the installation of such a refined product.
For tree decorating with the multicolored LEDs, on a 7-foot tree I like to use two strands (connected end-to-end) spiraling up the tree. I then add one set of the standard (incandescent) clear mini-lights, 100 bulbs is great, which must be the "twinkle" version, not constant-on (looks static/dead) and not the electronic flash (looks like a robot) or chase (looks like a billboard) versions. The multicolored LEDs give you the most vivid, pure colors which are truly a pleasure to look at; the standard incandescent mini lights add essential warmth to the tree and give a classic look and feel; the "twinkle" version of the clear traditional mini lights give life and a magical quality to the whole composition.
These multicolor LED strings are also great for outdoor use, but become quite expensive with the configuration I've found best, which is three LED strings overlapping in parallel: two multicolor LED strings matched up where the bases of two of the same color lights are touching, then one clear/white LED string with the clear bulbs in the middle of the space between the colored bulb clusters. I've done quite a bit of experimenting and this gives the best appearance from a distance - bright, multi-angle color bursts with some white shimmer interspersed. Look in the electrical section of your local hardware store for screw-in plastic wire clamps to keep all three strings mounted nicely, and be sure to keep a steady tension on the wire when installing so they don't sag.
One final note - anytime you add a lens or bulb shape to an LED you lose light. This strand, which is just LEDs on wire, will give you the brightest colors possible! The Bethlehem Lighting LED strings are a fantastic product for holiday and year-round use! 』
(Use them year-round!) 『I love these lights. They use about .02 watts and they don't get warm at all. I use them outside on my back patio year-round for that "festive" look.
Couple of things of note...
I have the lights on a timer so that they're on at night. But because they use so little electricity and the timer "leaks" a little electricity, the lights are always on very dimly. The instructions on the timer specifically say that you must have more than a 40 watt load, so this is the result. Not really an issue though - I just live with it since the electricity consumed is so small.
The bulbs are NOT replaceable. They are built right into the body of the light fixtures. And yes, they do burn out - not as fast as incandescent, but I usually get one or two per strand after a couple of weeks of operation.
Some of the colors are brighter than others. For some reason, the green and blue colors are extremely bright, whereas the others are uniform. Again, not a big deal for me.
These lights may not be available off-season, but I have found a couple of places that carry them - they probably have to go rummaging around in the deepest darkest reaches of the warehouse in the middle of summer, but they have 'em.』
(Fabulous Christmas lights) 『We had purchased these lights at Bronner's in Frankenmuth. Once home we realized that we needed more of them. Amazon was the only place we could get them. Your prices were cheaper than Bronner's and we received them within a few days. The colors are unique and the brilliance of the LED lamps is outstanding.』
(DO NOT BUY!!!) 『I was very pleased when I received these lights and first put them on the tree, but within the first week all of the blue lights started burning out! That was the reason I went with the LED lights, they are supposed to last for years, not one week! I will have to replace them next year since you can't change the bulbs.』

(Great Clips) 『These are great for keeping your magnetic post-it board organized (fridge, magnet wall, etc). They are great for putting up notes, pictures, papers, whatever it is you want to put up. Just the right strength and holding power. The little grips can slightly damage pictures so obviously you should frame any pictures you want to keep in mint condition. But for putting things on the fridge they are perfect.
Note: There are NOT for chip bags. I always end up trying to use them as chip clips and while you can get them to work, they're a little too small for that. I buy the Oxo Good Grips Magnetic All-Purpose Clips, 4-Pack Assorted for that purpose.』
(Not Just for the Chip Gulch) 『Great tool and can be used on hanging goat skins too. I thought this was only for freelance 5 -16 oz chip bags but then realized that the open array diameter can hold up to 10 sq ozs, not bad, considering a crocodile's mouth can only give more psi per sq oz.』

IPhone 3G used's review (To Grandmother's House We Go) 『This movie was exactly as advertised. Still in the shrink wrap and plays without a glitch. My granddaughter loves this movie and plays it over and over. Well worth the price.』
(my favorite!) 『this is one of my favortie M-K and Ashley movies, its funny and cute and i loved watching this when i was a little!』
(To Grandmother's House We Go) 『I know this is an old movie, but my 4 year old daughter just loves it. She will actually sit still and watch this entire movie!』
(To Grandmother's House We Go) 『MaryKate and Ashley Olsen's early movies are really cute. When my daughters were younger (up to about age 10), they really liked the Olsen twins. So when this library's VHS copies of the movies needed to be replaced, I purchased titles on DVD, including "To Grandmother's House We Go." All these titles circulate regularly. Unfortunately, my daughters' favorites, "The Adventures of MaryKate and Ashley", in which they solve mysteries, are only on VHS or download. Looking forward to them on DVD!』
(Really Great) 『I bought it for Christmas, for my 7 yr. old grand daughter. We saw it twice the first day and twice the second day. She wanted to see it again the third day, so we did. Then I had to return home. She tells me every time we talk on the telephone, that she can not wait till my next visit so we can watch it together.
The film is very funny with lots of clever lines that my grand daughter has memorized. A good kid's movie is one that parents and grand parents enjoy as well. This one accomplished just that!.』 『When the twins feel like their mom is tired of them they take off on an exciting adventure to grandmothers house and encounter a pair of villains along the way. Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Mikhail and Nutcracker how bad can it be?!) 『Perhaps the best interpretation of "The Nutcracker" ever made. Baryshnikov's finest hour. And as even the most ballet-ignorant know, that bar's set pretty high.
I have seen Mikhail Baryshnikov dance in the much-praised chick-flick "The Turning Point." And I have seen him dance his own interpretation of "Don Quixote." Good. Great, even. But not as much as fellow Russkie ballerino Nureyev's stab at "Quixote." And I have seen much more of him dancing. The man defies gravity, as well as many other laws. A ballet dancer, in the country of America, has been treated like a movie star. But this may very well be his best work, artistic-wise.
Mikhail Baryshnikov is man who hardly needs an introduction, as he is a man who is synonymous with ballet. The man is a household name, Baryshnikov is at his best here, which is more than difficult, even for him. Celebrated USA ballerina Gelsey Kirkland (who was a regular partner and even girlfriend of dear Misha at the time) actually proves to be a credible match. And even takes it to a higher level than he does in HER solo scenes.
This was the first "Nutcracker" I've ever seen. I have seen several interpretations of "The Nutcracker" since then, and this one still stands as the best of the lot. There are no real children in this cast. The children's roles are played by adults in adolescent-looking wigs.
The idea to make this a movie rather than a live stage piece kind of works. It allows for more visual effects than a straight live piece would have.
There is a moment where Ms. Kirkland dances a solo all by herself, that sequence actually left be breathless. When she shakes her pointed feet like bells, the music jingles in pitch-perfect sync. She doesn't seem to be following the music at all. The music seems to be following her.
It's so beautifully and perfectly done, that as someone who takes ballet and has danced on the stage, that it actually hurt to watch.
The day that I can move as gracefully and exquisitely (on her worst day, I mean) may never come. Kirkland actually, in that one scene, manages to steal the movie away from Baryshnikov. Baryshnikov's leaps, turns, jumps and pirouettes are as breathtaking as always, and somehow never seem to get old. Misha's striking presence and Peter Pan-like mobility just.. well, makes you want to get up and dance. Or just jump around. He doesn't so much leap as much as soars.
Baryshnikov puts some little touches of humor here and there. There's a lovable old man at the Christmas Party who attempts to dance and hurts himself, as well as a toy soldier who stubs his toe. Baryshnikov has always seemingly had the soul of a child and the heart of a clown.
The Arabian Coffee Dance has been deleted for running time, I'm sorry to say. As has Mother Gigogne. Not to mention The famed "Waltz Of The Snowflakes" is a powerhouse, the ballet corps sway to the music so beautifully, for the briefest moment, we actually forget about Baryshnikov and Kirkland.
Is Baryshnikov trying to give himself more screen time, Clara or the ballet itself? Alexander Minz proves to be invaluable as a supporting player in the role of Drosselmyer. I was reminded of Fred Astaire. He moves around with his long, willowy limbs in a way that seemed almost inhuman. I seriously doubt ever got half the credit he deserved throughout his life.
He had an effective, amusing cameo in "The Turning Point." Baryshnikov continues to prove time and time again what we already know--the greatest ballet dancer of any generation will always be a Russian.
The choreography is riveting, some of the best I've ever seen. Although, the honor for "World's Greatest" go to "Singin' In The Rain." Maybe the Russian could put dances together now. He's reportedly a great teacher of dance as well.
While many of the special-effects look a bit outdated, it remains a riveting experience. After all, most ballet movies are just filmed dancing and this one takes the effort to actually be something of a movie.
The acting is not much, nor is there as much plot as is traditional, a as this "Nutcracker" focuses more on the dancing and music. The pyrotechnics (the dancer's rapidly-moving muscular limbs and the way they and the music truly gel).
Despite Mr. Baryshnikov in the title role and given prominent first billing, the star of "The Nutcracker" is Gelsey Kirkland as Clara, as this is all Clara's story.
Mnay movies have attempted to translate this legendary dance story to the screen, usually with disastrous results. For example, the mistake the 20th Century Fox movie "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker" made was if they were going to made the ballet into a movie, they should have done something for the movie that they couldn't do for a live production. Alas, they did not. It moved so slowly and the whole movie was so badly-lit, it looked like somebody boot-legged the whole thing with a camcorder.
The solo duets are just as enjoyable. The dancers, are in fact, so good that they almost threaten to outdo the leads.
It's a beautiful story, more with flair and style in it's depth. It's a revised fairy tale.
When Misha and Gels prance together, their body movements almost in perfect parallel... it's beautiful and breath-taking. They seem to be connected internally somehow. These are two people brought-en together by dance. It's every little girl's dream... and that's exactly what the "Nutcracker" should be. 』
(the Nutcracker/Baryshnikov&Kirkland) 『This production is fabulous! Baryshnikov is at the height of his talent, and Kirkland is breathtaking. The best Nutcracker I have seen.』
(A beatiful Nutcracker) 『This version may not be the most sumptuous one, but never a Nutcraker presented the most perfect ballet couple to dance and act this famous ballet. It is worth the price because you will see it seberal times and your grandchildren will enjoy too.』

(This video goes to "11"! Wow!) 『Okay the "11" reference was to a dated movie called Spinal Tap.
If I could rate this video higher than 5 stars I would have. It is excellent. Baryshnikov at his peak and wonderful ballet all around.
My 3-year old daughter has become a big fan of the Nutcracker and she loves dancing. this is the perfect movie for her. Having said that the Balentine Nutcracker is excellent in a different way. The Nutcracker is a story that is fairly fantastical. Therefore, it helps alot to have strong narration. This video is light on the narration and therefore if you aren't familiar with the story you may not understand how the storyline is moving along. On the otherhand the Balentine Nutcracker is MUCH lighter on dance and heavier on the storyline. The compliment each other well.』 『The American Ballet Theater version of the Tchaikovsky classic, a 1977 studio rendition directed by Tony Charmoli, has become a holiday perennial on PBS stations and home video. It's a favorite of parents who want to give their kids the gift of culture--and with good reason. There's a loose fairy tale plot to keep dance neophytes interested, and Boris Aronson's eye-candy production design is a series of lavish dioramas. From an imperial-era Russian Christmas party out of Tolstoy, a young girl named Clara (Gelsey Kirkland) is whisked in dreams to an imaginary world populated by the animated creations of the wizard toy maker Drosselmeier (Alexander Minz), who prances on his stick-thin limbs like a Dickens illustration come to life. The main attraction is, of course, Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of the greatest classical dancers of the century, at his absolute peak of athleticism and precision. An opening slow-motion montage diagrams his fabled smoothness of execution, elegant airborne trajectories that have a feather-light perfection. Music lovers who know only "The Nutcracker Suite" will relish the chance to hear this great score all the way through, conducted with lilt and vigor by Kenneth Schermerhorn.--David Chute』 『The Nutcracker marked the initial choreographic effort of Baryshnikov, universally hailed as one of the world's greatest dancers. Under Baryshnikov's inventive direction, the traditionally lighthearted story of a small girl's dream on Christmas Eve is transformed into a more complex theatrical experience. Broadcast regularly on PBS, this American Ballet Theatre performance (directed in the studio by Tony Charmoli) stars Gelsey Kirkland as Clara and Mikhail Baryshnikov at the peak of his artistic ability as the Prince/Nutcracker.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Superb Christmas Drama Highlighting One Family's Forgiveness And Compassion) 『I first became acquainted with this highly moving 1977 Christmas Television movie during one Christmas season in the mid 1980's when it was shown late on Christmas Eve. I immediately fell in love with its simple story filled with much identifiable human drama, great characters and first rate performances by all cast members. Christmas is often a time of reflection and efforts by families to come together despite their conflicts and differences during the past year and the storyline of "The Gathering", uses these very issues to perfection in its beautifully thought out screenplay. "The Gathering", centres its story around one man's recently diagnosed terminal illness which makes him reflect on his wasted life where ambition and the obsession to succeed in big business has cost him not only his wife, his children and his home, but also his inner sense of self worth. Ed Asner still best remembered for his role on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", here takes on a very different kind of role as driven business man Adam Thornton who with only a few months left to live enlists the help of his long estranged wife Kate, (a superb Maureen Stapleton), to gather together for one last Christmas, his four children whose love he sacrificed in his quest for business success. What unfolds is a beautifully crafted tale highlighting the power of forgiveness and family unity against all odds, and while it is indeed on the sentimental side ( which I love incidently!), the film also never shies away from illustrating many all too common human failings and the harmful effects they can often have on those we love.
I firmly believe that very few present day movies dealing with the often complex relationships existing within families come anywhere near the emotional impact that "The Gathering" delivers. It really comes from what I can now see as the "Golden Age", of television movies in the 1970's and 1980's and at its premiere screening for Christmas 1977 was a great success with both viewers and critics earning a coveted Emmy Award for that year as Best Television Movie. That great acclaim and success led to a sequel two years titled simply "Gathering 2", that focused on Kate finding a new man played by Efrem Zimbalist Jr, entering her life at Christmas time. Both these films are amazingly not available on DVD as of Christmas 2007 which is such a major disappointment considering the much loved reputation of the original film which has only ever been available in sub-standard EP VHS editions. Much of the film's memorable quality is due to the near perfect chemistry of veteran performers Ed Asner and Maureen Stapleton and this film deserves to be released properly for a new audience to be able to enjoy it. Try to seek out "The Gathering", during this coming Christmas season as it is an emotional viewing experience you wont regret and which I know I cherish every year at this time. 』
(The Best for Christmas) 『I saw this absolutely beautiful film when it was first shown. I was beginning college and to this day I watch it not only at Christmas but whenever I need a pick me up. This movie teaches all about forgiveness and demonstrates that from sadness and sorrow one can find the silver lining and hope eternal.
First rate performances with a story that's right on target. I managed to purchased a tape when it was on the shelf over twenty years ago and it hasn't worn out, yet. I am thinking I should get a few copies for backup and loved ones.
It needs to be on DVD. Will the powers that be please hear us!』
(The Gathering) 『I was so excited to finally find this movie here at Amazon! It is a family favorite and we taped it off of TV many years ago but the tape wore out from viewing it so much and I have been looking for it for years and learned about Amazon, I truly thought I would never find it. I plan to buy several for myself and my kids as they will enoy sharing it with there families soon. I wish it would come out on DVD, but until then I will continue to watch it always between Thanksgiving and Christmas.』

It's came in good shape, good packaging, and when I wrote and asked where it was, they immediately sent it priority mail. That's good for me! And I just love the movie!』 『Adam is a man whose time is running out and for whom life has saved the very best for last. Ed Asner&Maureen Stapleton star in this poignant Emmy Award-winning Christmas Special that has already become a seasonal classic. Adam (Asner) has spent most of his life building up a successful business in New England, and in the process has alienated his entire family: his wife, Kate (Stapleton), and his four adult children. But when Adam learns the jarring truth that he has less than a year to live, he realizes the foolish mistakes he's made in his life and seeks out his wife's help in gathering the family at Christmas, while keeping his illness a secret. At first, none of the children will be able to attend the reunion. Then, on Christmas Eve, one by one the children arrive for a most touching reconciliation. This is a rare, sensitive film that will be charished for many years.』
