Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Great, but not for beginners) 『Kimberly Wilson was my first yoga instructor. I love all her work, I am familiar with her practice, voice, style etc, so I really enjoy doing yoga with both her CD's when I am away or when I do not feel like going to the studio. I am not sure though that this is the right CD for an absolute "newbee" who is not familiar with yoga or with Kimberly's yoga. If it were a DVD it might be more suitable. Otherwise, the CD is exactly "as much yoga" as anyone would need -both spiritually and physically. I strongly recommend it.』
(Good Yoga Session -- But not for "Newbies") 『I have been doing yoga at Kimberly Wilson's studio in DC for a number of years, and I picked up this CD to have something to use at home. It is a very good vinyasa yoga session. However, I would definitely not recommend this to those who have never done yoga before. The pace is pretty fast (in fact faster than the pace in the studio's Level 1 classes), and it seems to assume that the person has practiced yoga before. I would recommend going to around 10 classes before trying this at home -- otherwise, I think it would be pretty frustrating. That said, it goes through a good sequence of asanas. Downsides are (1) it is a little fast paced on a few of the sequences, and (2) I didn't think the music was all that great, especially in the beginning (mostly background piano music). But if you want a good vinyasa practice CD, this fits the bill! Kimberly Wilson is a very good teacher.』
(A genuine teaching artist, Kimberly Wilson creates a truly tranquil space) 『Fortunately for those of us who find it tough to stick to a healthy lifestyle, there's Vinyasa Yoga for the Newbie Yogi, the pick-up-and-go yoga studio. Perfect for travel, the office, or wandering spirits, this is the ideal gift for the person who has everything but peace of mind.』
(Fabulous Yoga workout) 『I have been doing yoga for over 30years, so I'm not a "newbie", but I wanted a yoga routine that would be comfortable to do. At first, I was a little skeptical of the reviews, because so many of them originated from Washington, D.C., so I thought most of them were her yoga students supporting her. I'm glad I tried it for myself though, because this is a GREAT yoga vinyasa routine, and can easily be altered for different lengths of time; this is a fabulous cd for any level of experience. I downloaded to my iPod nano, so I can take it with me on the road; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!』
(Great yoga cd for your at home practice) 『This is by far the best yoga cd that I have purchased for my at home practice. The cd is designed to lead you through a complete practice, but it is split into tracks so that you can tailor your practice based on your time constraints or just on what you feel like doing that day. I loaded this cd into my itunes and will sometimes insert my favorite songs between Kimberly's tracks to extend my practice. I can also take it with me on my ipod when I travel. Kimberly provides perfect reminders for alignment and breath - this is a great cd for anyone who loves to have fun with yoga.』 『Experience the joy of vinyasa (flow) yoga taught in a nurturing yet empowering style in the comfort of your own home. This beginner's vinyasa yoga audio CD by Kimberly Wilson combines 70 minutes of piano and trance music with soothing instruction guiding the newbie yogi through a flowing sequence of introductory yoga poses. Divided into separate tracks for centering, warm-up, standing flow, etcetera, this CD allows for 3 shorter practices of varying lengths, as well as the full 70 minute practice. The CD insert contains photos of most poses to serve as a visual guide.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Back Saver!) 『The short and quick version --
PROS
1. Always releases tension, stress and pain in the back ( at least for me).
2. Lots of cues and reminders to breath, and good visualizations and explanation techniques that really help put you in the correct form.
3. Two short sessions of 20 minutes each makes it easy to fit into a regular work out schedule. Could be a good 'stretch' for after aerobic work outs.
4. The instructors are not overly perky, nor pushy on the spiritual aspect that some yoga tapes offer.
CONS -
1. Pretty simple poses; not much challenge or room to grow if you are at anything more than beginners status.
2. For some, frequent cues could be annoying. Such as those with more yoga experience.
3. DVD itself is short overall compared to most yoga dvds. Which could be a downside for some. But for the price tag, I still think its worth it.
My longer review with a little more detail-
I first took a yoga class to fulfill a required health course credit in college. I enjoyed it so much that I have dabbled in it for years Never as steady as I would like, but some classes here and there, and several videos.
I have always had some back issues. I have horrible posture, and slight scoliosis. This often leads to back pain. Yoga had always helped somewhat, but I wondered if there was specific DVDs for the back, like there were for arms and abs and such. I found the Yoga Zone Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Back DVD.
When I first tried the DVD out, I was a bit disappointed. It seemed like there wasn't a lot of variety, and I had hoped for more poses, and it didn't seem at all challenging. However, I noticed that whenever I was having back pain - usually after killing it with some pilates or aerobics and not keeping correct form - that doing this video always eased the pain. That in itself is enough to make me love this video.
I also like the frequent cue-ing on the breathing. When I have stepped away from Yoga for awhile, its nice to have frequent cues to remind me to breath. I also like the two 20 minute sessions which allows me to fit it into my workout schedule much easier considering I have two young kids at home. I also really like to do one session after an aerobics work out to stretch my back and other muscles.
Although, those frequent cues and the short sessions could be cons for those who are well into yoga at this point. Maybe another 20 minute session with more focus on strength of the back would have been nice.
I would actually probably be more likely to rate this 4.5 stars than 5, but 4.5 isn't and option, so I went with the five considering what a wonderful effect it has on my back pain and the great job that is done with cues and explanations.
All in all, if you have back pain, its worth it to try this out!
』
(Yoga Zone - Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Back) 『Excellent! I have been suffering for over eight years with a back that has almost left me disabled.
I bought this dvd with high doubts. I mean, I've been seeing docters and chircopractors for such a long time with such puny results.. what could this do for me, right???
I started doing it only a couple of times a week, and now I'm up to three times a week. I had never done yoga before in my life, but I definately see results. I feel as though my back is getting stronger and I am feeling better. Not overnight, of course... but I'm getting there.
I would definately recommend this dvd to anyone who has just about given up!』
(Healthy Back in the Short Term) 『This video and instructions are good but it is way too short, 20 minutes. I like the fact that one can choose to listen to the music without the verbal instructions.』
(Becoming a nightly routine) 『My back feels always amazing after this DVD, no matter what I've done to it that day (running, weights, driving to work, etc.) This poses are simple and easy for this beginner and they feel very good. I've started doing this every night as a stretching routine and I've been waking up in the mornings without the back/abs pain I used to have after only doing the DVD 4-5x/week for the past 4 weeks or so.
The DVD is divided into two sections, both with various twists, stretches and lengthening poses. The first section features more in the way of twists while the second more lengthening and even a few breathes of boat pose thrown in to strengthen the abs.
The DVD is filmed in Jamaica on the grounds of the Grand Lido Sans Souci and on the beach. The music is subtle with a little bit of a reggae feel to it. I am ready to book my flight and spend all day doing yoga.
As, Douglas, one of the instructors in the DVD would say, "that's niiice" and so is this DVD.』
(Yoga Zone - Yoga for a Strong&Healthy Back) 『Only had two basic classes in yoga. Found this fairly easy to follow. Purchased this because of bulging disc. Better purchased before injury.』 『Yoga for a Strong and Healthy Backpresents the fundamentals of posturing and breathing in this approachable 40-minute workout that includes two 20-minute sessions focusing on spinal rotation and muscular strength. The back is central to supporting all movements; conventional workouts often do not include exercises that strengthen the lower back.Yoga Zonegives excellent instruction here, and participants are taught poses that utilize both the lower and upper back. The warrior pose and forward bends are just a few of the postures performed here that can improve spinal flexibility and help to avoid future back injuries. Beginners should find the first set easy to follow (the postures within this section are modified versions of what is yet to come). The second set incorporates some back bends and deeper poses that require greater agility and strength. Despite the increased difficulty here, participants of all levels can improve their flexibility without being overwhelmed by impossible poses. Filmed in Jamaica, the content in this progressive workout is surpassed only by the white-sand beaches in the background. This regimen includes great information, cuing, and scenery--not to mention how relaxed you can feel after an intensive yoga experience like this.--Olivia Voigts』
IPhone 3G used's review (A great gift) 『I purchased several of these videos for my clients, family, and friends that love golf but are not all that familiar with yoga. It makes a great gift. Ronni is an outstanding teacher.』
(I literally got my hole-in-one with her instruction!) 『I was disappointed to read that some folks think that Ronni Diamond's videotape is nonsubstantive. I found that, to the contrary, after applying her principles to my golf game that I actually nailed a hole-in-one. I am a rookie golfer and have had no professional instruction except for an intense, passionate fiancee who was a task master out on the course. Ronni's skill is in connnecting and releasing the confidence we all have inside us. After all, how can one possibly nail a hole-in-one without supreme confidence, clarity and peace of mind? Without her, I would have never realized such a magnificent marker event. As Norman Vincent Peale said,"the rough is only mental". Ronni helped me to prove that it was just that.』
(Practical Techniques I can really use) 『The techniques I've learned from this video have significantly improved my flexibility and have actually made the game more fun. I seem to have more power in my swing while at the same time I'm more relaxed and focused while I play. A number of other videos that I've tried were slickly produced but did not give me simple, practical techniques that I could actually use. This video's natural class participation was a format that I could easily follow and learn from. Thanks for helping me play better golf.』
(Ronni Diamond -is inspiring, dynamic ,and a great teacher.) 『Dear Golf and Yoga Friends,
As a Professor of Yoga, I have found Ronni Diamond's professional presentation of Yoga for Golfers to be outstanding. What is amazing is her ability to teach funadmental yogic techniques to beginning students and golfers in a eloquent format. Her attention to detail, to movement and to the student's experience is just perfect. As a praticioner of both Yoga and Golf, I would highly recomment this video to all levels of students. You will learn a great deal from Ronni Diamond. I have.
What is most impressive about this video besides it's professional production, is how relatable Ronni is to each student. She cares. You can see she has years of experience. She has mastered her art form. She is there with you as a student. And, as a teacher, she displays a wonderful art form that teaches, that nurtures, and that produces results.

In stock soon. Order now to get in line. First come, first served. IPhone 3G used's review (Great Yoga Workout) 『This is a great yoga workout for advanced beginners and for intermediates. Sara Ivanhoe gives clear directions and makes the workout fun even with repeated viewings.』
(Great for beginners.... VERY BASIC) 『This is a good DVD if you have NEVER EVER done Yoga before. It is very basic but informative. If you have basic knowledge of yoga, I would go for the intermediated dvd. But, like I said, if you have no knowledge whatsoever, this is a great dvd.』
(I'm a beginner but way past this..) 『I love Sara Ivanhoe and own some and have rented some of her other dvd's. I was real excited to get this dvd and learn some new great poses. I have just started doing Yoga and I already knew 11 of the 12 poses. I can not believe that I already knew them because they are such simple ones and this is "beyond basic". It is very clear and it is nice that is shows you what you could be doing wrong but I assumed I would learn the new poses in a flowing sequence. You just learn them and then hold them for 6 breaths and it's over. It is very easy to do and you could probably skip the first one. Her Crunch dvd's and 20 min workouts are better. I love the 20 min workouts.』
(Yoga Postures for Strength and Flexibility) 『Sara Ivanhoe's nurturing teaching style makes her workouts perfect for beginners, but even if you are intermediate, she still knows how to present challenging postures in a way that makes you want to try them. This workout begins with a series of stretches to warm up the upper body, but you may want to walk for 20-30 minutes or do some aerobics to warm up the muscles. I found that without the walking or biking, I was not as flexible.
"The Daily Dozen" exercises are a little more challenging than the first DVD and I was actually surprised at two of the exercises because they almost seemed advanced. It was more the length of time you are required to hold the posture that seems to make them go beyond intermediate. Upward Dog is surprisingly challenging when held for six breaths. Normally I've tried this in a vinyasa style workout with flowing postures. When you take each posture and focus your attention for six breaths, this becomes a test of patience and endurance. The postures include:
Chair Warrior Triangle Wide Leg Standing Forward Bend Low Lunge Twist Upward Facing Dog Dolphin Cow - I had never seen this exercise before! Total challenge! Wide Leg Seated Forward Bend Reclined Butterfly Supine Twist Final Relaxation
I really loved "Dolphin" which is like Downward dog with your arms bent and your head almost on the floor. It tests your upper body strength and balance, but feels great once you are done with the breathing exercises. Each posture presents a physical and psychological challenge which makes them even more fun.
"Cow" felt very much like an advanced exercise, mostly because of the flexibility required to even get into the posture. I literally sat there laughing when I realized there was no way my legs would "pretzel" the way the exercise required. So, you may just want to adapt that one for beginner/intermediate and it still seems to have the desired effect. Beginners will find some of the exercises to be more intermediate, and intermediate practitioners may find this workout great for developing patience.
For some reason, which I can't explain, Sara Ivanhoe's workouts leave me feeling more centered, balanced and generally happy and peaceful. It is as if the world spins a little more smoothly after the workout. A meditation session is also offered and Sara Ivanhoe teaches you a new mudra. I can also highly recommend her Candlelight Yoga workout and all of her 20-minute Makeovers.

(A little disappointed...) 『I bought the First DVD, Yoga for Dummies. It was great because it had a section where she showed you each pose and then she actually gave you a full routine that you could practice to. This DVD only gives the instructional part but there is no routine to follow. And I agree with the other reviews...the pop-ups are beyond annoying. I do not think these existed on the first DVD and I am not quite sure why they were added. I like Candle Light Yoga and Crunch Fat Burning with Sara but I would not recommend this DVD due to the fact that it is basically instructional with no practice routine to go with the instructional.』 『Beyond Basic Yoga for Dummiespresents 12 yoga poses that skilled instructor Sara Ivanhoe calls the "daily dozen." Ivanhoe is calm, clear, warm, and patient, demonstrating each pose as the screen flashes easier and more challenging modifications. The too-frequent voiceover "tips," "mythbusters," and "warnings"--announced by sound effects--are louder than Ivanhoe's voice and become disconcerting interruptions. Since they also appear in print on the screen, the jarring voice is unnecessary. Ivanhoe herself could give any tips needed for safety and effectiveness. Ivanhoe's careful, detailed instructions for each pose keep the progression slow, and an experienced yoga practitioner could get bored. However, a beginning exerciser who has mastered a basic workout will find this program a helpful next step before going to an intermediate level. The 70-minute DVD edition also includes a 15-minute guided meditation and the option to eliminate the music--you still hear instructor cueing and voiceover tips, but you can play your own music.--Joan Price』

Usually ships in 10 to 12 days IPhone 3G used's review (Its acceptable) 『I did this video for years before I got into Rael Pilates, it is good, but if you are going to spend your money for Pilates buy Rael pilates.』
(Worst workout video in my collection) 『The instruction for the cardio of this workout is poor, poor, poor! The instructor first tells you how to do a very simple move, then says, "Let's pick up the pace, now we're going to change the feet a little," changing the move to something completely different, at a higher tempo, with arms, kicks, etc. put in, then suddenly, when you think you've got the hang of it, she stops. I just stopped IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS WORKOUT to type this review, because it was that frustrating. Perhaps people with a dance background will like this video as they use dance terms "first position," "second position," "plie," etc. all over the place, very quickly. I agree with other reviewers saying there is no warning on when the movements will change, they just suddenly do as you're in the middle of it...I found myself pausing to figure out the moves, only to have them change twenty seconds later, which would result in pausing again - this is not a continuous workout stopping any benefit I would have from a continuous workout. This starting/stopping is due to the confusing nature of the instruction - really, if you want a pilates workout, go with somebody else - Maggie Rhoade's pilates or Denise Austin's - anything but this. What a waste. Now I'm going to go back and do another workout that was actually made for people follow.』
(Love it) 『The Warm Up is okay and the Pilates section is challenging in a good way.
I have to disagree with the other reviewers who did not like the Cross Training segment. In fact, it's the part of the video that I use the most. Of course, during my first viewing of the entire video, I didn't try to *do* anything. I watched and tried to remember exactly what was going on, the moves, etc. This is what I do with all of my workout videos. The first few times of actually trying the aerobics segments were a bit hard and it took some rewinding and redoing to get the moves down pat, but I now have no problems with it. I have a space that is an approximate 5-6 foot square. I have no formal dance training. And I'm quite frankly surprised by the reviews here.』
(Terrible) 『Despite some really good core-strengthening moves, the choreography in this video just makes you feel ridiculous. They ruined what could have been a good workout with boring, repetitive bongos and moves that just make you fling yourself around the room. If you don't have lots of space, forget it.』
(OK, if you skip the frustrating aerobics part) 『The warm-up segment of this video is fun and effective. The mat work, while I found it difficult at first, by sticking with it, did really strengthen my abdominal core and yield results.
HOWEVER, I have to agree with the other reviewers regarding the aerobics segment. I also found it incredibly frustrating; I tried over and over again to "catch on," but I never did. Now I do the warm-up and mat work, and skip over the cross-training section and instead, do some other video or exercise for my aerobic workout.』 『Studio: Inspired Distribution Llc Release Date: 05/07/2002 Run time: 90 minutes』

IPhone 3G used's review (One smells, one doesn't.) 『I bought a 65 cm ball and a 75 cm ball. The 65 cm lost its sick sweet industrial plastic smell very quickly. The 75 cm ball gives no evidence of ever losing its smell, even though I left it outside in the sun and weather for a while. I guess it will be an outside play ball for the kids, as long as it lasts.
If you don't mind one more chemical odor in your life, then read the other reviews and decide. 』
(photo misleading/ product change) 『I thought I would receive a Gymnic ball but another product was sent. I am very familiar with Gymnic and was disappointed with the less durable product received. It does not hold its shape like Gymnic; flattens while in use. I really miss the stability found in the Gymnic brand. CAUTION: The photo is not the product you receive.』
(It popped!) 『I bought a 65cm Sport Soft Edition FitBall directly from BallDynamics to be used as a birthing ball during the delivery of our son. The hospital ended up having balls there so we didn't need to use ours for that purpose. However, after arriving, our son liked to be held while gently bouncing on the ball. This became a daily routine for us to help him fall asleep and has worked well for the last 3 months.
That is until the ball popped! It was used on in a carpeted room for bouncing with a baby. Nothing strenuous in any way, but one day I sat down on it and it just deflated. (I'm 6ft, 185lbs - no where near the 1,250 lbs capacity they claim on the ball.) There was a small tear on the side of it where it had burst and all the air rushed out. No hope for repair, especially since the tear spread once I picked the ball up to look at it.
I tried to return the ball to BallDynamics but their customer service agent told me that they only had a 30 day return policy. She informed me they *MIGHT* exchange it for me, but I would have to pay up front for a new one and they would refund my money for the first ball *IF* they got it back and decided they wanted to. She had a tone in her voice that I was NOT getting a refund for the first ball, so I declined.
I explained to her that I paid more to get the ball from them because of their claims for "Burst Resistant Quality" and that I could get a cheaper ball at the local fitness store or off Amazon, but that didn't change her stance any.
I'll find another brand and use that from now on. BallDynamics won't be getting any more of my money.』
(Great fitness ball) 『This ball is great for all types of exercise-it holds its shape well and has a nice non-slip surface.』
(Great fitness ball!) 『So far, I'm very pleased with my 65cm Gymnic ball. Unlike a previous Gaiam ball, it blew up easily and also plugged easily. Nice touch that Gymnic provided a spare ball plug! The color is a nice, slightly metallic blue and the ball does NOT feel "slightly sticky" like Gaiam did. Which is a huge plus, as otherwise, in my house, it would end covered in cat hair. It should be easy to clean. Quality seems very good.』 『Unlike other balls that may burst when punctured, even when purposely punctured with a knife or other sharp object, there is no danger of sudden lack of pressure. Don't settle for competitive balls that inflate unevenly and puncture easily. The FitBall by Gymnic comes in 4 different sizes to match optimally to your height. They inflate easily with a hand air pump (bike pumps not recommended). Clinic packaging (in polybag, not retail box). Pumps sold separately.』
