Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (I liked it) 『I liked the video. I have a few videos from Gaiam and I think they are horribe although led by some pretty prominent yoga instructors. I like the YogaFit videos because they are more laid back and I like the instructors voice (Beth Shaw right?). Her voice is nice and mellow and motivational to me. I definitely prefer it over my other videos.』
(great video) 『I don't think I would recommend for someone who has never attended a class. But then again I wouldn't recommend any video for someone who hasn't attended a class. It's impossible to demonstrate every single aspect of a pose in a video when there's no one live to correct you. However, if you already know the poses well and want to practice at home...this is great. It's a lot of fun, the poses are great and challenging, I like the choreography and the music is really good. It's one of my favorite home videos.』
(I think it's great) 『After all these years and after many videos from other yoga people like Baron Baptiste, Sean Corne, Shiva Rae and Richard Freeman....this one is still my favorite. It's easy to follow while the others are over complex and people like Baron Baptiste didn't do anything but film a yoga class and is now selling it. This YogaFit video makes you feel good and Beth Shaw gives great modifications. I really don't like it when people overly complicate yoga in order to make themselves appear more knowledgable. This was the first yoga video I ever did and it will always be my favorite.』
(The Bad Reviews are SO bogus) 『I happen to know that these bad reviews are coming from jaded ex-employees who are trying to start their own yoga trainings and studios. They obviously never matured past 7th grade if they feel the need to post negative things about Beth Shaw on AMAZON of all places. She has never had liposuction (obviously someone is very jealous of her abs) and she is not anorexic. Unless you know anything about anorexia...anorexics don't eat enough to put on the amount of hard muslce that Miss Shaw has. So GROW UP PEOPLE. The book is fabulous and gives a very detailed break down of all yoga poses and the video is just the same. If you're into old fashioned yoga-this isn't for you. If your into yoga explained like a fitness pro and without all the "sanskrit" language...then this is your ticket. I have done yoga videos from everyone from Sean Corne to Shiva Rae and Beth Shaw's yoga video is SO MUCH EASIER and far better because she doesn't act like a "know-it-all" diva. 』
(Not the Best Buy) 『The tape simply isn't motivational for a beginner or even an advanced beginner. The instructions are poorly presented and the alignments are incorrectly performed. Also, the routines don't flow smoothly from one pose to the next. It's not an enjoyable experience and definitely not recommended.』 『
Whether youre a fitness buff searching for a new challenge or a yoga enthusiast looking for a way to balance your exercise routine, Beth Shaws YogaFit(R) will help you reach your ultimate physical potential! Featuring more than 50 YogaFit poses, the book teaches you everything you need to know about breathing and warm-up, forward bends and backbends, twists, inversions, and cool-down. To make it as simple as possible, Shaw organizes the poses into well-rounded workout routines that mirror those offered at her signature studio in Hermosa Beach.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Best Kundalini disc I own) 『Thank God this made it to DVD, I've already worn out two VHS tapes. I was fortunate enough to take classes with Carol in NYC before she moved to the wilds of northern Minnesota (my wife and I were really bummed). She and Ravi Singh were the best teachers we ever had (I own a bunch of Ravi's discs too but Carol's is my overall favorite). You don't have to be terribly experienced at yoga to enjoy this set, though it helps to be in reasonably good shape. It really puts you through your paces and leaves you feeling relaxed and energized. For me it is the perfect workout and I can't recommend it enough.』
(Not bad, music is a bit boring) 『I actaully enjoyed this DVD overall. I liked Kundalini yoga A Journey through the Chakras W/Ravi Singh better. They both had many of the same poses&many uses of breath of fire for many of them. The music worked much better, faster in Ravi Singh. I did feel good doing this dvd&as it progressed I did feel more energy. Her voice feels a little stiff&it's just her alone w/blank white background. It didn't have a wrmup&got right to it, but I as able to keep up&didn't get bored or want to turn it off though I get bored easily.』
(Great practice (and what strange reviews!)) 『I read these reviews and was initially turned off. However, my library had this available, so I thought I had nothing to lose and gave it a try. It's excellent. I taught vinyasa yoga for a few years, but I don't consider myself an expert- and certainly not on Kundalini. However, by the end of the practice I felt clear and happy, and the effect lasted well into the next day. The instructor is not, as others have pointed out, overflowing with effusive joy, but she is still inspirational and expert in guiding what I would consider to be a high beginner kundalini practice.
I've got to say, I think other reviewers overreacted to some of the kriyas used here. When I read "she starts with a full backbend", I was a little nervous. However, I don't think that's accurate. She starts with what others call "tabletop", not "wheel". I think your shoulders might complain more than your back, but I had no problems.
I also think that the concept of "flow" isn't appropriate for a Kundalini practice. This isn't vinyasa or in the lineage of Iyengar, Ashtanga or Viniyoga, for which that might be a more pertinent criticism. Kundalini, from what I have seen thus far, is aimed at releasing energy usually located at the base of the spine all the way up to the crown of the head and throughout the body. There is then perhaps a "flow" of energy, but not necessarily physical movement. Most of the practices I've seen usually start with movements aimed at opening up the chakras or energy centers from the base of the spine up to the crown of the head, perhaps starting first with spinal warmups. This practice was no exception, although she doesn't discuss the chakras at all.
This practice has quite a bit of abdominal work (though not of the "crunch" style), some of which may be too intense for absolute beginners, including the Kundalini staple Stretch pose, as well as a bicycle and inner thigh stretch/kriya. Even with a regular yoga and Pilates practice, my abs were still talking to me for the rest of the day- but I liked it. I also liked that even though there were several "stretchy" positions that utilized long holds, it wasn't as demanding of perfection as some other styles of yoga. Finally, I thoroughly enjoyed the relatively long rests between postures, as well as the guided meditations, relaxations and chants.
I think this practice can give physical "results" as far as weightloss and appearance, but if you're just here for the physical, you might find the other trappings off-putting.』
(It's a treasure!) 『This is beautiful, energizing and centering yoga. The benefits include a real work-out integrated with deep relaxation and meditation. It leaves you with an afterglow of tranquility, energy and vitality. Although I have invested in plenty of other yoga DVDs, I find that I keep coming back to this one time and again, as it feels like deep nourishment on both a physical and spiritual level. I highly recommend it to all. Many heartfelt thanks to Carol, for creating such a deeply moving program, and then sharing it with the world!』
(An Engimatic, Beautiful,&Inspiring Workout) 『Anyone who thinks this workout is disjointed clearly is not meditating while moving through this kriya. First, it's time to shed some light on what this type of kundalini sequence actually is. This is definately a Yogi Bhajan sequence. Bhajan created several kriyas with similar names - "Grace&Prosperity," "Flexibility&the Spine," for example. "Grace&Strength" is a fusion workout existing in an interzone between the original "Warrior Workout" and "Flexibility&the Spine." Like the "Warrior Workout," there is a running segment, frog pose, and several back bends like bow. Like the flexibilty or spinal kriyas, there are cobra, seated wide angle forward bends, wheel, crow squats, and standing back/forward bends. Carol is showing you exactly how this kriya would have been taught by Yogi Bhajan. Anyone who has ever done Ravi Singh's and Ana Brett's "Ultimate Stretch Workout" can see obvious similarities to this set. The difference is that it has a more rapid motion, contains an aerobic component, a segment designed for the heart chakra, and a rather complex abdominal sequence in the middle of the set. I personally think Carol magnificently explains breath of fire, what real strength is, and concludes her set with a beautifully inspired resting pose dialogue. As she says, this set is to improve your strength, not prove your strength. I have spent years doing power yoga, ashtanga, and kundalini. This segment, in a similar mode to Donna Davidge, works on the body and the mind throughout the day after performing it in the morning. Also, those hatha yoga critics who claim it is unsafe to begin in table top (truly one of the less difficult asanas) need to understand that before doing any intermediate kundalini sequence, one should already be warmed up. Before I do this or any kundalini set, I perform the Five Tibetan Rites. After doing any rigorous segment, Carol gives you more than ample time to consolidate your gains through a moment of still meditation. Realize, if you are doing yoga simply to de-stress through deep breathing, kundalini yoga is less appropriate than hatha, ashtanga, or power yoga variations. If you are doing this to actually raise kundalini, work the lymphatic, nervous systems, and increase the internal will linking the body and mind together, this is the type of yoga to do. Upon finishing this workout, even though it is made up of an anti-intuitive sequence, I feel active, strong, defined, and just as ready to take action in my day as I would if I did power yoga. Often, power yoga can make me feel too heavy or weighted down from too many held poses. I like how this unusual sequence jump starts my heart after running/skipping in place, making me feel extremely light on my feet. I also think her return to child's pose and her instructions on how to round up, using your abdominal muscles makes transitioning between meditating and action extremely fluid. Those who have criticized this DVD should take a look at a kundalini book and understand the wide variety of sequences Bhajan created before displaying their obvious lack of knowledge to the world. Carol Carlson didn't make this DVD for shock value, fame, or bedazzlement. It is clear that she expresses a true, deep felt love of kundalini and a true urge to give you, the viewer, a true kundalini experience.』 『Kundalini is a Hindu word that refers to energy that lies dormant in the spine until it is awakened and channeled upward through the chakras in the process of spiritual perfection. Yoga practitioners unfamiliar with kundalini may find Carol Carlson's 70-minute video a bit daunting, as it combines fairly energetic exercises with the "breath of fire": short, quick breaths pulsed by the diaphragm through the nose. Carlson uses a meditation mantra and a breath mantra as she moves through a series of stretches and strengthening postures.Kundalini Yoga with Grace and Strengthis undoubtedly a good resource for experienced practitioners, but since it is a little short on instruction and explanation, it is recommended for intermediate-level students and above. People who enjoy the postures and practices of Iyengar yoga might do better with theYoga Journal's series.--Jhana Bach』
『Stillness interpreted. It's more or less the intent that underpins every recording released by this non-Japanese grand master of the shakuhachi flute. Yet even in that narrow context,Yoga/Tranquilitymay stand as Lee's most hushed recording to date and thus is aptly named. Of the 11 pieces offered here (60 minutes total), silence represents the foundational element of each composition, with Lee providing only subtle shading or faint outlines to each barely distinguishable cloud of sound. No trills, no accompaniment, only a minimalist chromatic range. Outside of a few plaintive passages, particularly noticeable on the opening track, most earnest and advanced yoga practitioners should find that the disc provides worthwhile listening.--Terry Wood』
IPhone 3G used's review (More advanced beginner/immediate yoga practitioner) 『I've been doing yoga over 4 years starting with Rodney Yee who helped to get yoga more mainstream years ago with Oprah. I started with him&now have more then 30 dvds, with liking Wai Lana, Rodney Yee, Rainbeau Mars, Kunalini yoga w/Gurutej Kaur or Gurmukh, Better Sex w/yoga, Firm's Power yoga w/Kristen, Seane Corn or YogicArts the most. With their help, I went from unable to each touch my feet to doing full splits by only doing 20-30 min a day 1-3x/week.
I agree her makeup&clothing are way too gaudy, but you know that wasn't her idea, it was the production&director's ideas so I try to not let things like that influence how I feel about the content, style&instructor's teaching&intent which is the most important.
Her beginning DVDs are not easy for those who are very out of shape, but she gives modifications. She's one of the only ones who tells you the benefits&what conditions it helps you treat as you do the poses to keep you inspired. I wish more of them did that to keep you going¬ be bored&reminded why you're doing it. After each pose/exercise, I really felt the stretch&the energy/blood circulation after, I always feel lighter&more graceful&more aware. She also does poses that most don't do that really feel awesome. Some may be considered Kundalini yoga style such as shoulder rolls, leg lifts in some of Wai Lana's workouts, but they really help you stretch more. Others have a definite ring of Qi gong on it. Any moving exercises are done slow so you feel the joints losening up. Most yoga DVDs I've gotten have been the same exact poses in almost the same sequence (so many sun salutations!), but she's totally different. I have all 3 of her easy series. :-D
In the extras menu option, there is a guidelines option to get more detailed infomation about each asana, with her demonstrating, how to do it&what to watch out for to avoid injury. Also you can Customize your workout by deciding how many&which asnanas to do for your workout.
There are great pictures of her in poses on her site wailana』
(Challenging, invigorating practice for intermediate yogis) 『For some reason, I had always assumed that Wai Lana taught yoga at a beginning level, but now that I've tried my second video of hers, I'm convinced that this is not the case. Wake Up Body is a stimulating, invigorating practice that includes several challenging postures, and I definitely would not recommend it for anyone below an intermediate level.
The asana practice is approximately 34 minutes long, and it begins with a series of reclined leg stretches. The first move, which involves lying on your back and"walking"the feet over your head (similar to plow pose) is difficult and requires quite a bit of core strength. Next comes side kicks and a single leg stretch, and then Wai Lana moves into plow--a posture that many find relaxing but that I find challenging. Following plow, it's on to your stomach for a 1-legged bow variation.
In some poses, Wai Lana builds up to the more advanced version by starting with easier options: for example, a sort of mini boat pose, a dynamic down dog, and a headstand prep with legs at a 90-degree angle up a wall. She also does several variations of a standing backbend (or standing camel), beginning with hands on hips, moving to hands on thighs, and finally, hands on ankles (which I was unable to do). The practice ends with an additional 6-minutes of Wai Lana's quite unique singing and dancing. Although this seemed a bit silly to me, I gave it a try, and I have to admit that I found it both fun and relaxing.
One thing I really like about Wai Lana's videos is that each asana is like a stand-alone practice: the posture is held for an extended period (sometimes incorporating dynamic movement), and then a brief relaxation follows. Because there are pauses between every pose segment, when you use the video, you can perform as many or as few poses as you choose, simply picking up where you left off the next time.
On the other hand, I find Wai Lana's frequent outfit changes, gaudy appearance, and heavy accent a bit difficult to get used to. In addition, she does not suggest modifications for poses, which is why the practice demands an intermediate level of expertise. However, she provides very good instruction and non-mirrored cueing, plus she is quite encouraging and offers a good bit of information about the benefits of each pose. The Wai Lana series is definitely worth checking out if you have been practicing yoga for awhile and are looking for a departure from mainstream yoga videos.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Great for A type personality beginner yoga practitioners) 『DNK wrote a great review on 7/4/06 The instruction&detail is great in here, the extras have a quick "chalk outline" that shows the most popular wrong things people do that I found concise&succinct&informative. Natasha has great strength, flexibility&does move like a ballerina almost during her demonstration, but still looked stiff with little body awareness of energy. Her instruction is great&in depth, 90% western, muscle only instruction, she said the fear of crane/crow is mostly out of fear&is easier then you think which is true. I did find the video to be too stiff for me, the instruction didn't flow and felt very long&boring. That's why I don't give it 5 stars, but the in-depth teaching of these harder poses are harder to find on dvds, hence the 4 stars. The extra by having the doctor talk about the medical benefits of yoga really killed me in monotony. I learned better benefits from Wai Lana, Shiva Rea, Gaiam's Rodney Yee, Rainbeau Mars, Seane Corn (great detailed instruction, better analogies, more flow, etc.), etc.
You can see a clip on youtube com of her Vol. 1 if you look up "Learn Yoga - Downward Facing Dog"』
(Thorough instructional DVD) 『This is a very well instructed DVD for yoga inversions and arm balances. Arguably, mastery of these postures separates the intermediates from the advanced (in some circles, at least). I've got to admit, I approached this DVD with some trepidation, never having mastered Crane or Handstand. However, Rizopoulos' instructions provide a very clear breakdown for those two challenging poses. While I still don't "have" them, I now at least have a better idea of what to do.
As with the other two releases, this DVD has two main parts: the instructional portion that breaks down the postures "step-by-step" and the flowing workout. Jason is the assistant that shows modifications, and her assistant Autumn shows common alignment errors. This clocks in at about 35 minutes. The other 20 minute section includes all of the postures but at a fluid pace. (Also, if you're feeling like you still haven't mastered all of the movements, there is an option to follow along with Jason and his modifications for the entire practice). Each section includes Half Sun Salutations or Sun Breaths, Sun Salutation A, then a variant with a lunge and lunging twist, Side Plank, Crane Pose, Handstand Prep, Handstand, Shoulderstand and Lying Twist. In addition, the instructor also includes appropriate transitions and counter poses- very important when you're concentrating on inversions. The 20 minute practice ends with a 2-minute Corpse pose.
I was impressed with this DVD and I loved how she made use of the wall for the inversions, whereas other yoga instructors seem to scoff that the wall is a poor substitute for the "real" thing. (I also liked that there wall had molding in the middle of it, irregularities many of us have to deal with.) I also liked the constant tips on alignment, particularly on strengthening through the low abdominals to protect the low back, which is frequently aggravated during incorrect inversions, particularly headstand and handstand.
The only thing that made me wince here was the instructor's form in some places. Though clearly very strong, particularly in the upper body, she also has hyperextended limbs, which is very common in flexible people. It seems here that she made no attempt to correct for that and in a couple of places was locking her elbows out. Please do not do the same- you can really hurt yourself.
Otherwise, a great DVD and recommended for those who want to kick your practice up to the next level.』
(Finding a Balanced Life) 『Yoga can help you fully relax and prepare for meditation or just feel more relaxed while reading or cooking. Your mind will be cleansed and while the world surges around you in all directions, there will be an inner calm you can carry with you all day.
This DVD is for students of yoga who have mastered the first two instructional sessions. I'd consider myself to be intermediate and the workout on this DVD seemed to be more advanced than any workout I've tried so far. It is a challenging and healing workout that may be enjoyed by intermediate yoga students who are looking for challenging balance poses that increase your focus and energy.
Natasha Rizopoulos has a beautiful teaching style that allows you to fully experience the body mind connection. She encourages you to experience yoga in order to balance your life. After watching her Yoga demonstration you may start to think of Yoga as an art form and not just an exercise routine. She turns yoga into ballet and her upper body strength is astounding. Upper body strength will be especially important in this DVD.
During the handstand section, I had a good giggle because I could not get upside down on the first few tries and then my feet made a rather loud noise as I finally was up against the wall. I think I may have startled the neighbors. On subsequent attempts, I was able to get upside down more easily when I used a little momentum. While upside down I could really feel the weight of my body and some of the exercises may be slightly wrist intensive if you have not been doing yoga for a few years.
I'd "highly" recommend buying two beveled foam yoga blocks (if you have yet to buy them) along with this DVD. Modifying the balancing poses with props is advised and if you can have someone workout out with you, I'd highly recommend having someone assist you as you try the inverted poses. I was able to manage on my own, but could see where having someone around would be helpful.
This DVD has interesting menu options. There are really two main parts:
A 35 minute Instruction Session - You explore the postures in depth 20 minutes of uninterrupted flowing practice - a vigorous vinyasa flow sequence
You can follow the Instruction Menu, Practice Menu, go straight to the Yoga Chalk Talk (a great way to explore the poses) or Medical Commentary. The Practice menu has four sections:
Begin Practice (Different from Begin Instruction) Follow Jason - This is an excellent option if you want to use props like blocks. Practice with Medical Commentary Practice without Music
Natasha Rizopoulos teaches you about how to use a wall to assist with balancing upside down. She gives safety tips and modifications. This is the third DVD in a series of three high-quality yoga packages. You will need blocks and a mat. Even after years of yoga practice, it is exciting to find out there is so much more to learn. This is a must-have series for anyone who is interested in yoga.
I personally think this is intermediate to advanced or can be done by individuals with good upper body strength and balance.
~The Rebecca Review 』
(Excellent Instruction) 『I love this video series. It breaks down step by step the asanas(poses)so you can do them correctly. I attend a yoga studio and the instructor doesnt have time to go by and see that everyone is doing a pose correctly. If you don't do a pose correctly you can hurt yourself. This video is a great addition to my home practice and compliments my studio practice.』 『Session 3 VHS

IPhone 3G used's review (Very annoying music) 『I purchased Power Yoga 3 thinking it will be the hardest work out but yet it is for beginners (level 1), I don't know why it calls 3 then. It is a good program but after doing it two times I got so annoyed by the music Baptiste chose (it is a version of a modern dance music) that I can not continue with it anymore. There is no option on DVD to turn the music off. Although, music should sound in the background, during this practice it is a main thing and it is very loud. I don't know what makes experienced yoga instructors to turn away from the yoga classic music. Besides a good work out yoga is a relaxation time. Krshna music is a good combination to yoga practice. I am giving up on Baptiste's DVDs. By some reason, it is always too much of something. My all time favorite is Bryan Kest Yoga. One DVD comes with 3 different work outs (not 1 as the rest do), so it is a much better value for the great exercise.』
(A Shorter Intro to the Ashtanga First Series) 『This disc presents a 45 minute routine which introduces the Ashtanga Yoga first series. (The full first series, which usually runs 90 minutes, is not presented on this tape.) Unlike Baron's other video presentations, Baron cues and instructs in this disc on more advanced and traditional elements such as where to focus your eyes, the techniques of breathing, and the internal"locks"or muscular alignments which form the basis of more advanced yoga practice. This routine is not as physically demanding as level 2 in Baron's power yoga series or the"Soul of Strength"session, but it does present a nice balance of detailed pose instruction and vigorous vinyasa or flowing linkage of poses. It is active and challenging all the way through, unlike some routines which start vigorously and wind down toward the end (this doesn't mean it's better or worse, just different). It is a power yoga session, which means that the more arcane poses found in Ashtanga are not included in the interest of continuing the flow of the practice - if you are interested in a more traditional presentation of Ashtanga in a 45-minute session, the obvious choice is David Swenson's Short Forms. Some people feel, however, that the traditional poses may place more torque on the joints than is appropriate in a 45-minute session, since you don't have as much time to get warm and loose before working on these poses. I like this tape quite well, and it is my wife's favorite because of its detail, moderate length and excellent backbending and inversion series.』
(Ashtanga Made Simpler) 『The good thing about this tape is that it does make you sweat and it also gives you a renewed and energetic feeling afterwards..Baron had condensed the Ashtanga series into a 40 minute practice, which is ideal for those who dont have an hour and a half to invest..I like the fact that Baron seems very sincere, and I would recommend it to those new or fairly new to yoga practice and also for those pressed for time..A good tape..』
(Best Yoga Video!) 『Except for the cheesy music and picture quality, this is by far, the best yoga video I have ever done. Not recommend at all for beginners. Baron takes you through a very fast paced routine starting with Sun Salutations, both A and B series. After that you move into a lot of various stretching poses. Unlike other yoga videos I've done, there are no modified poses for different levels. If you want a challenging workout.. buy this video!』
(Great No Frills Workout) 『I liked the workout. The DVD is not packed with special features or an aesthetically pleasing set (if you want that, check out Power Yoga with Rodney Yee), but I got a great workout that left me centered but also made me sweat.
More importantly, even though I've used several yoga dvds before (Rodney Yee, Crunch Yoga (one of my all-time favorites), Bender Birch (difficult, I've only tried it once)), I actually felt like I was learning a new approach to the practice. The moves, taken by themselves, are not new. But his cueing and instruction flow and make me think about emphasizing different techniques as I go through the standard sun salutation poses.

Usually ships in 1 to 2 days IPhone 3G used's review (Disapponted) 『I have a different point of view from the other reviewers I read. I found the set disappointing because I have an old yoga DVD by Rodney Yee that I love and expected this one to be calm and relaxing like that one. I hated all the chattiness and giggling that was going on in this one, it distracted me from the way I like to do yoga.
If you're looking for a yoga DVD that is soothing and quiet, DON'T buy this one! If you want something more like a regular workout tape that does use yoga postures but with people talking a lot and trying to keep your attention, this might be OK for you. I just kept wanting to tell them to quiet down and stop being so silly.』
(Exhilarating yoga) 『I am a big fan of Mariel and have read her book about healthy living. She got me started in Yoga and this DVD set is the best I have done and most fun. The 30 minute one really got me going. I love Rodney Yee also. The 2 10 minutes ones are wonderful too. I really like doing the 10 minutes in the morning before I go to work. It makes me feel like I actually worked out.』
(Great chemistry, relaxed comentary/voiceover, less poses) 『I started with Rodney Yee years ago when he first was on Oprah&yoga was really first mainstream. I still love his style along with Rainbeau Mars, Wai Lana, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea&only a few others. I only rented from the library the 30 min core&50 min. accelerated style. There are so many mountain poses, swing the arms to relax the shoulders&little hops, that I started FFwing through those&saw there were only a few poses&some done several times (like chair/powerful pose which I DO love, great to help standing fwd bends) that I was a bit disappointed. Dr. Beth wrote a great review stating the poses done. Many poses were held a good length of time while Rodney&Mariel talked about how great the pose feels, how to get into it deeper, what to watch out for&even little cute comments like Rodney saying, "See how much my legs are tightly clenched? You can see I was really feeling it." I enjoyed Mariel's&Rodney's lighthearted talking either each taking turns pointing things out during the 30 min workout or as a voice over on the 50 min. It would be great for those days I don't feel I can relax to a quiet/silent yoga workout, I just wish it didn't have so much arm swinging&little hops.

』
(Great for Beginners) 『I also reccommend this highly for beginners. (I'm one of those folks.) I haven't tried the 50 minute yet either, as I believe I will switch to an easy intermediate tape/DVD/class at that point. I've tried yoga tapes before that either left me behind or destroyed ("Power Yoga"). Rodney&Mariel's workouts are ideal for a person getting back in shape,&they are motivational without being cheesy. I didn't need the diet plan info., but looked through it and found it very unrealistic for anyone that works outside of the home. If you work in the home I think it would be great. 9-5'ers may do better going to a nutritionist (many health plans allow you a free or next to free 1st trip.) The DVD is geared towards those wanting to lose weight, I didn't need that, so I would've like to see a beginner meditation session guided by Rodney. Perhaps they'll come out with an intermediate set with this? Anyhow, those wanting to lose weight could stand to look through their healthy eating plan, as it does have good advice, but unrealistic daytime meal plans.
I highly recommend this to all beginners and those seeking stress relief. My body and mind feel clearer, calmer, and healthier since beginning this set. I think both are great instructors and motivators in this series.
For those wanting practices with higher difficulty&Rodney's great attitude and world-reknowned knowledge, checkout his website.』 『Yoga Now begins with yoga-cardio fusion: fat burning cardio workout techniques plus the power of yoga to create lean muscle and a healthy sense of self. In stock soon. Order now to get in line. First come, first served. IPhone 3G used's review (Not Exactly for Beginners) 『This DVD is not really for beginners as some of the poses are more advanced and there is not much for explanation for the poses. However this is a beautiful workout and very much worth it especially for those who are in a relationship and practicing yoga together. The non-sexual intimacy that comes from the constant contact during the poses gives a spiritual as well as physically fulfilling workout. If you do get this as a beginner like my husband and I did, the harder forms will give you a nice goal to work towards together. This is a wonderful DVD and I would highly recommend it.』 『Together-The Art of Partnered Yoga, provides an in-depth introduction to Balance Arts Partner Yoga, an exquisite form of bodywork which flows like the co-healing dance it is. Developed by Mishabae, and based upon such time-honored healing arts as hatha yoga, Thai massage, Breema and shiatsu. Balance Arts is a comprehensive vinyasa-style partnered yoga. This video explores undeveloped possibilities in Mishabae's vast repetoire of vinyasas, yielding new practices which place emphasis on the deeper union between partners, rather than on the perfection of form.
Mantras, mudras, healing touch and Asanas are all melded to create countless blissful levels of conscious contact. Movement, breath and awareness are all joined to support the flow from one posture to the next, opening the way to a mutual healing exchange that reflects the great healing traditions of the world. The effect is guaranteed to be utterly transforming.
The DVD features 122 partnered postures and related techniques taught as four unique vinyasas: Opening to Life, Chasing the Sun, Freeing the River and Deeper Down.
Extras include: a "video book" of still pictures with extra alignment tips, clear instruction throughout, some modifications for beginners, multiple menu options, as well as an original transcendental soundtrack composed by Carson Farley and performed by Mishabae and Igvald.』
