『This is an MX Imports original! Combining East and West, enjoy this colorful and decorative Talavera Om. The piece is for decoration only and has a string in the back for hanging on the wall. The striking ceramic known as Talavera is over 800 years old, originating in the Talavera de la Reina region of Spain. At that time, it was called Majolica. Known for its beautiful glaze work, Talavera was imported to Mexico in the 16th century where it was used to decorate monasteries and churches with tiles and religious figures. Talavera is not turned or tin glazedthe pigments are brushed onto raw or unfired glaze. Each piece takes between 12 and 15 days to complete. It must set for 16 to 18 hours before being liquefied and poured into molds. The pieces are then hand polished and fired for six hours at 1500 (F) degrees, then painted and baked again in an 1800 (F) degree oven. Prehispanic Mexican craftsmen blended the majolica process with their own interpretation of the method to work the clays of the region and incorporated their art forms and colors. Their product came to be known as Talavera. We are happy to pay about 20-25% above 'market' value to our artisans in Mexico in order to create a sustainable business for them as well as in the hopes of bringing up the standard of living of the community at large. Unlike other Mexican import companies we specialize in Mexican Talavera. We stand behind our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Great DVD, Wonderful Teacher!) 『I found this DVD in a store and decided to give it try. I think I already had a Kundalini dvd of Ana/Ravi's and though I have enjoyed learning Kundalini from that dvd as well - it is definitely much more intense and fast-paced than this one. This dvd from Gurutej is paced a bit more slowly and is great for any day, though especially good for beginner's or if you are not feeling as energetic. There are definitely a few moves/exercises which are more demanding and faster paced as well - so this in not a relaxation dvd per se. Shes gives explanations as to how the moves impact and benefit particular lymphs, glands or body systems. Breathwork and chanting is also well incorporated. She is very uplifting and adds humor to the her descriptions, while also having a calm and peaceful demeanor. My primary yoga experience has been in Hatha yoga which I also love, but have really enjoyed becoming acquainted with Kundalini yoga, most particularly since buying this dvd from Gurutej. A very positive experience!』
(Awesome Yoga Video!) 『I love this video and this yoga teacher. She seems totally dedicated to yoga and to helping people feel peaceful, strong, and healthy. Her approach is really sweet, even if some find her a bit flaky. I think I have all her tapes, and they are all really good.』
(very healing!) 『i have dozens of yoga tapes. rodney yee, patricia waldman, suzanne deason, etc. kundalini is very different from these. i also like gurumukh's dvd from gaiam... but it is way more intense and challenging. gurutej's approach is very gentle and yet profound and she's very funny and encouraging. i have all of her dvds and LOVE all of them! i have an ongoing immune system disorder and whenever i do these dvd's i feel instant relief and so much better. thank you gurutej! please make more dvds!
』
(Thank-you Gurutej!) 『This was my first introduction to Kundalini yoga. I have done yoga off&on for over 25yrs. I have back problems&was a bit concerned, hearing about twisting&fast moves. The twists are gentle and the moves are smooth. Gurutej Kaur is fantastic. I was kinda 'put off' at first, seeing a turban on the cover. I have alot of stress going on,&am quite open to new ideas of ways to relax. This woman is vey real,&I was surprised what a 'people person' personality that she has. A wonderful sense of humor, between some of the seriousness of the moves. I am also 'picky' to voice quality. Her voice quality is very good&the music is excellent. I'd love to find out where her music came from, it's so relaxing&nice. After doing her dvd, I only want to find more of her classes. I never knew about Kundalini yoga, I love it.』
(Check out more reviews on her Chakra Yoga for Mental Clarity DVD) 『She talks about meridians a lot&some of the movements looked like Qi Gong movements I've done&seen before. They all seemed simple when she talks about it&then takes concentration to do. This one is even easier to do then her Mental Clarity one. If you aren't into Qi Gong or sensitive to energies to the point you notice them consciously, you may not feel the effects enough to feel the benefits since the exercises are so easy. There are some good stretchig such as some chair pose, warrior one pose&fast light twisting added among other thing, but most are very subtle. She is alone in a simple room with flowers&rug nearby&has a sweet voice. Between each movement there is artwork&written is the name of the next one. The beautiful artwork I was suprised to learn in the credits was created by her. I took off one star because in between each move, she sits in another place, telling you for up to 2 min what each move is going to be, how it's done, what it's good for in terms of the body, mind&spirit. I wish she could have given some of this information as you are actaully doing the moves so you don't get a bored. At the end is a quiet sitting meditation&then also she plays singing bowels&a gong lightly for a laying down meditation for a few minutes. 』 『Master instructor Gurutej Kaur presents a complete program to unleash the lifegiving forces from within. This complete practice for the charkas provides 15 guided exercises that combine movement, breath work, and chant to relax the body and emotions, refresh the lymphatic system, and invigorate the vital organs to elevate immune function.』

In fact, whenever any friends hear it, they immediately want to know what it is and where I got it. I ended up giving my first copy away to a friend visiting from out of state and reordering for myself. If you truly want some music that will take you away, THIS IS IT!!!』
(A must have for relaxing) 『This is quickly becoming my most-played CD! It's great for relaxing (especially after a long day) or doing pilates. Highly recommended for fans of ambient! 』
(Compelling music, well played) 『This is a compelling combination of musical ability, combined with technical skill in selection, combinaton and execution of sounds and tones, resulting in a very pleasant listening and relaxing experience.』
(Alleviates the Most Common Symptoms of Your Workday Frustrations) 『Very soothing, revitalizing, and serene. Both stimulating and tranquil, this music creates the sort of audio environment I need to refocus and renew.』
(Relax Deeply) 『Outstanding cd! The compositions from "Relax Deeply" are excellent and gorgeous. Each composition from this CD creates a rich and soothing atmosphere. The songs on the cd are very relaxing and great for background music. Fans of Cleveland Wehle's excellent keyboard work will not be disappointed.』 『This is the music from the popular Yoga Nidra CD "Relax Deeply" narrated by Steve Wolf. It includes all of the music from the original "Relax Deeply" sequences, plus an additional extended piece written specifically for this music only edition - over 70 minutes of music in all. All pieces were written and performed by keyboard artist Cleveland Wehle.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Basic beginner yoga poses, no vinyasa flow) 『Since his main Peak Performance Yoga VHS was put on dvd as "Yoga for longevity" I am surprised GAIAM hasn't put this on dvd as well. Fusha wrote a great review. This is set right at a Maui beach by the rocks with the water spraying nicely. The music is very light, like Kenny G type light sounds. He does not say the Sanscrit names&talks as minimally as possible about how to do the pose right&barely mentions how they benefit the body. He doesn't use any new age lingo. He does the poses one at a time like a gym session, w/o flow&goes into seated or basic stand to rest in between. He starts off easily, does the pose very modified a few times before actually doing the pose fully. Each pose is only held a few seconds then given a rest&repeated or to the next pose. There are no sun salutations. Considering it's only 25 min, he does a considerable amount of poses such as upward dog, downward dog, upward dog, locust, cat/cow, chair, lunges, triangle, modified side angle, seated spinal twist, sitting straight leg single&double leg fwd bend. (not in that order) I did this after being awake about an hour&found it too easy. My endurance isn't that good, but my flexibility is above average. I found myself annoyed at the lack of flow, light/non deep beat music&stiffly executed intention of the poses. I did held a pose longer while he went in/out of the next pose or did other ones to stretch out more since I had limited time before rushing for an appt. I did not sweat at all or feel anything other then enjoyment for being stretched out&getting more circulation from physical work rather then being lazy. This would be good for beginners if he gave more detailed instruction. For those looking for a very short&easy session w/decent amount of poses, this is for you.』
(acceptable..very basic...brief....different) 『This is a very basic yet different type of yoga session. He does not focus on the typical sun salutations at all..instead you do other basic poses versions which is a good switch for a change. He could have done much more with this tape but it can be used a primer or warm up to another more vigorous class or home yoga session. Yet, I don't see it as a good intro for real beginners due to the sparness of basic poses and such that are missing from this routine. He starts off in simple crosslegged pose..and then goes onto "cat/cow"..or on all fours arch back..except his version goes back onto the heels for exhale. From the very start and a few times in the video he is knee based with is a red alert for knee problems. Its good to have knee pads or such for these kind of things if you have issues. Secondly he does a knee bend with arm raises that eventually goes into chair pose. While these are very simple and easy knee and lower back folks just be aware. Also the begining is simple..repeated arm raises into half way and then full forward bend..slightly boring and uneventful for me. In cases like this I try to not rely on the tape but to put more into every inhale, my mental approach, movement..etc. This part however simple does stress, just out of sheer repetition, using the lower/back muscles so for back issues just beware. It is a suble thing to narrate a yoga session via tape...one of the things that happens is one one pose there is extended talk or instruction..and one the other side it a bit fast resulting in uneveness of the full effect or execution of the pose...I felt this happened a few times. He does mention breathing though I think it could be mentioned more in sync with the poses. I like the version of Triangle and the deep stretch you get in runners pose version where you have on leg outstretched to the back, fingertips to the floor and the other leg bend where your chest would touch your knee. But he comes up out of that into standing which I can do, yet if you are not flexible, coordinated, or strong enough to just come up like that you may need some step in between or more time to get to standing. Its interesting but strange to do corpse pose which felt nice after this short session...but then you come up to do alternating nostil breathing with was also nice..but it seems it could probably go before the corpse pose. Yet the way he does it is good in the sense that it I guess reinviorgates you from your relaxation back into "the world"..so in that sense I can appreciate his sequence. He does the yoga session in the beach setting and the music help give a nice effect as well. As with certain tapes the second or so time afterwards can be better. While I did not come out of this sweaty, nor "worked out" feel feeling. I found the ending (corpse..etc) the best thing in the whole tape...feeling refreshed..invigorated yet relaxed sense which gives me the hunch that it may hold more less exoteric or unobvious rewards and benefits within its seeming no frills simplicity. These are the main reasons(next to the poses versions being of the offbeaten path)why I have kept the tape.』 『True to its cover subtitle,A.M. Peak Performanceoffers "25 minutes to greater focus." In this short, fresh, and scenic yoga video, master yoga instructor Rod Stryker guides us through a series of poses that open the spine and back, focus the breath, and increase flexibility; or, as he states it, poses that "access your vitality." Poses include flowing series of tree, front, chair, cat, and warrior, among others. No pose is too challenging, and Stryker includes modifications in his own demonstrations, aware perhaps that some viewers could be intimidated by displays of intense flexibility. Though he speaks in a somewhat grandiose metaphor, it makes sense for this practice. It's low-key, flowing, and meditative. Pleasant tinkling piano, harp, and violin compositions complement the lapping of the waves on the Maui beach where Stryker practices, creating the appropriate paradisiac mood. When he asks you to "absorb the endless energy of healing and vitality" into your body at the end of the routine, the trance-like state felt by the meditation portion makes this feel possible--you want to "melt into timelessness," but instead, you can settle for just feeling invigorated and ready to start the day with increased mental clarity.--Gilia Angell』
IPhone 3G used's review (I got results) 『I've used this tape (now DVD) for several years in combination with walking/jogging and have experienced satisfying results. Not only am I more limber, but I've developed long and lean muscles. I've taken years of yoga and dance, and feel that this tape is a pretty good combination of strength, stretch and balance. I've even brought it with me on vacation, because I think it's a nice way to start off the day!』
(Wow, my butt hurts!) 『I do agree with one reviewer that this video does not give enough instruction with the pilates section. The pilates section is (in my humble opinion) high intermediate/advanced. Beginners beware! There's not enough modification presented! The yoga portion was a lot of fun, flowed well, but was not too difficult. I think the entire video flows very well. The best part is that my butt and abs get a great workout. I even feel it the next day. If you're looking to work up a sweat building strenth in the lower body, this is for you!』
(Better Than I Expected) 『This tape was definitely more effective than I imagined it would be. I perspired (the heater was on, but that wasn't the only reason, I'm sure) and felt challenged but not tortured. The combination of pilates, yoga, dance, etc. really made the workout very fluid and non-work-out like...it went much faster because she moved on to one exercise after another...and I didn't feel any particular move was overdone.
Overall...effective workout. Much better than I had anticipated.』
(The more I use it, the better it gets) 『I have many many fitness tapes, and I always come back to this one. I love this tape so much that I had to write just to counteract all the people who only WATCHED the tape without doing it, got hung up on how the instructors looked, or just didn't know how to do the moves. If you are not familiar with yoga or pilates, go for the YF - Beginners Basics tape, this one is probably better for people already familiar with proper form. This tape is the perfect length - 40 minutes - and the pacing is fantastic. You get your heart rate up and your muscles warm and streched in the beginning, flow through increasingly challenging yoga asanas interspersed with tai-chi and dance (feels great), and finish up with powerful pilates moves that never fail to make my abs and butt burn. Then, a fabulous cool down ending with the lovely "goddess pose." If you are looking for a challenging, varied, and balanced workout that will get your heart rate up yet still provide the mind/body/spirit benefits of conscious breathing and movement, this is the tape. I always feel great when I finish, and I have seen exactly the results I was after. I only wish there were more to choose from. I have YF strength and sculpt, and it isn't the fantastic mix this tape is. Its more straight yoga.』
(cardio yoga) 『The first part of this video does a good job of blending dance, qi gong, yoga, and traditional strength moves into a 25 min cardio workout. It does help to have some familiarity with yoga, but her instruction is fine and she doesn't move quickly at all. Teigh begins with some dancey, qi-gong like warmups and then moves into sun salutations that work up a sweat, challenging flexibility and strength. I find this part of the workout really enjoyable; it reminds me of 3-Dimensional Toning with no ballet and more yoga. However, the pilates core segment that follows is horrible. She does not give enough instruction or guidance on the proper form, and a beginner attempting to follow her onscreen moves will likely hurt him/herself; also, for some idiotic reason, the one who is supposed to be demonstrating modifications isn't. Why have someone doing modifications for some exercises and not for others?! Fortunately, this lasts for only five minutes. (For someone who isn't familiar with pilates, I highly recommend reading "The Pilates Body" or viewing an instructional pilates tape before attempting to do this portion of the video -- or just fast forward.) She redeems the workout with some punishing hamstring/gluteal work and leg exercises that are almost as difficult; a fine series of stretches follows. I really like this tape, but can't ignore the terrible lack of instruction during the pilates segment.』
IPhone 3G used's review (New Forest Tai Chi for Beginners) 『We bought this with a Morning Cup of Tai Chi. My wife, who has health problems, needed a form of exercise that was low impact. She has tried other instructional tapes and dvds but found that the moves were so complicated and that the instructor went so fast that she could not learn or keep up. Fey takes the viewer step by step through the program. It is such an easy form that it is not hard to remember. She would highly recommend this.』
(A good introduction) 『This easy to follow introduction to Tai Chi presents a safe introduction. It is easy to follow, low impact, slow paced and yet still a work out.It does seem that one would soon want something more. After about the 4th time you do the DVD you will probably want to turn off the sound, but that's pretty common. It works well for senior adults with the warning to stay within their own limits and slowly progress.』
(Misleading label; Awful for anyone in decent health) 『This is labelled a beginner's introduction to Tai Chi. I'm a beginner. Unfortunately it too easy for even beginners and only vaguely related to Tai Chi. It's essentially a rehab tape. If you go through the reviews you'll notice the positive ones are basically from people with problems or elderly.
Wish I could return this.』
(Perfect beginners video for all ages) 『Jonh Bright-Fey is a energetic and charismatic instructor who has you having fun as you learn the basics of Tai Chi. Easy to follow, and very basic for the person who has no idea of what Tai Chi is. I was requested to purchase a Tai Chi instruction video by my class of Adults with mental illness and they love the video. We practice three times a week. The unfortunate part is that a few are now ready for the next level, so I need to find another video. HOwever I will use this video for any new student.』
(NEW FOREST T'AI CHAI) 『New Forest T'ai Chai provides a easy to follow workout that is great for all ages - especially 55 and older. I feel I have gained strength and balance by doing the workout. Highly recommend the DVD!!』 『New Forest(tm) T'ai Chi for Beginners is the most useful of all T'ai Chi videotapes. There are no confusing postures or complicated movement sequences to learn. The benefits of T'ai Chi practice are realized through simple, slow motion stepping patterns and arm movements that resemble painting the number shapes 1, 2, 3, , 9, 10. The T'ai Chi sequence is easy to memorize, yet challenges the mind to remain focused, clear, and free of distraction. It is truly a mind-body exercise.
This video is perfect for the older adult who is interested in the health benefits of T'ai Chi but is frustrated by the complexity of more traditional styles. New Forest(tm) T'ai Chi is fun to learn and easy to do. Children find this video entertaining as they recognize the number shapes and get to feel `silly' moving in slow motion. No special equipment is needed. The average living room provides adequate space.
Follow Grandmaster John Bright-Fey as he leads you through a 40-minute T'ai Chi workout designed by a licensed physical therapist. The workout includes a 10-minute warm-up, 28 minutes of T'ai Chi, and a 3-minute warm-down. Safety guidelines for exercise are included throughout the learning experience.』

There was one called all day work out with Fern something or other and it had this older women and the instructor on the cover and that is the dvd I got. Confusing I know, I dont get it. So I am not sure if I even got what I ordered. There is a completley different girl on the front of the case and she is not in the dvd.』
(I got more excersise using the remote control) 『This might be beneficial to people who weigh 600 pounds or more, but otherwise, it feels like you're barely moving at all. It's quite patronizing, really. Heavy people can handle a lot more exercise than this. I almost fell asleep while I was doing them. What a waste of money.』
(Great Intro to Pilates for) 『This DVD was great for me as a busy plus size woman wanting to improve my health, but not the most active person out there to get started. (delightful and much needed dvd) 『I am a certified pilates instructor and I have many clients who will love this matwork. It's a gentle but deep workout that exemplifies all that I love about pilates. The back to basics section is excellent, and the two main workouts are precise, flowing, and beautifully cued.
There is a morning energizing workout, a midday energizer and a short evening relaxation segment. The emphasis is on "zipping and hollowing" the lower abdominals, then adding movements of the limbs to challenge core stability. Several levels of difficulty are demonstrated.
I noticed the instructor includes modifications that will support a larger-sized body without making a big deal out of it. Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (wow!) 『Athletic Power is challenging and really opens up your hips. He is easy to listen to. I feel like I've done a workout when I am finished. I have core yoga too and that's fantastic as well.』
(Great beginner Yoga DVD) 『This is a fantastic form of yoga, which focuses on traditional postures. This DVD is a fantastic way to become introduced to the practice. I also purchased Core Power and Unlocking Athletic Power, both of which are great. Within 3 weeks I felt stronger, thinner, and with less joint and muscle pain. I've always been a big fan of yoga, but had not considered a practice with DVDs until the Baron Baptiste videos were suggested to me. I'm glad I gave it a chance, and expect that I will be using these DVDs for years to come.』
(Very good short routine) 『About myself: I'm into Yoga since about six years. I practice dayly. I also teach Power Vinyasa Yoga at a local Hotal Spa Fitness Studio. I personally like fluid and complete physically challanging Power Yoga Routines. Since I'm german my english spelling is pretty bad, sorry for that!
About the DVD: You can't do a 60 to 80 Minutes Training every day, and this is for the days in between. It's a great short Workout that leaves you warm and energized. Even though it is short it is still physically demanding. Baron is a great teacher! He honors every aspect of Yoga and encourages his students in a professionel an gentil way. (Although he seems to overdue it just a little from time to time with sayings like: "Angels fly because they take themselves lightly". Come on Baron! But to me that makes him even more sympathic. Obviously he is so much into Yoga that he looses it just a little from time to time ;-)) The routine is fluid and round. It is suited for all Practicioners from Beginner (meaning you already took some Yoga lessons and know the main poses) to advanced. I highly recommend it! I hope this was helpfull for you! Namasté!』
(Wonderful Short Yoga Routine) 『It is similar to Baron's "Journey Into Power Level 1", with the exception of not as much core/ab focus towards the end. This is fine with me because this is not what I am needing in a 30 minute yoga routine. The sequence and pace of the postures is just my type of thing.
I love doing this particular DVD before I have to get ready for work, especially when I'm tired and not feeling up to par this gets me feeling better on so many levels.
I enjoy Baron's style of instruction better than anyone else I've experienced on DVD or real life.』
(A nice intermediate yoga practice with a strong stretching focus) 『Unlocking Athletic Power is one of the three videos from Baron's Live! series. Like in the other two practices in this series, Baron leads a large class through the postures, moving thruogh the participants to make adjustments and offer encouragements. The video is described as being for all levels, and some of the class members do perform modified versions of the postures, but there are also some more advanced postures included as described below.
As with all of his videos, Baron begins with sun salutations, moving from the A to the B series. He ends the latter with crow pose, an arm balance--a surprisingly challenging posture for this early in the practice. Next comes a warrior series with plenty of form pointers for where you should be feeling the work. Baron then moves into a series of hip openers, beginning with crescent pose and proceeding to lunge with forearms on floor, pigeon, and double pigeon; a variation on boat pose follows before moving on to the other side. Then it's down to the floor for bridge and wheel (a full backbend which is optional). Baron then throws in a few moves for the abdominals before moving into the final stretches, including dead bug, cobbler's pose, table, lying twist, and savasana. The actual practice is about 26 minutes long, but the music continues for another 2 minutes, allowing you to easily remain in relaxation pose for a longer period.
Overall, I thought this was a nice intermediate practice. It is longer and more challenging than Baron's Core Power (although obviously not as core-focused) but also shorter and not as advanced as his longer Live practice, Soul of Strength. I would recommend UAP for experienced yogis looking for a strong, powerful vinyasa yoga practice.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Peaceful,Artful and Useful) 『I enjoyed Tiffany Chen's peaceful approach to Tai Chi and to life. It is a pleasure to have her insight into the mystery of Tai Chi. I highly recommend this DVD.』
(Peace and movement) 『I basically cannot disagree with any of the reviews. However saying that, I absolutely love this dvd. I don't know whether it's the music or the movements themselves or Miss Chen, but I find the whole thing hypnotic. I don't think it's so much confusing as much as the fact that this is a very complex art form, I mean it is so deep you could spend a life time on it and still be learning.
I think it is an enchanting video, and yes I am just starting out with tai chi, and it may take me the rest of my life to really learn this form. But I get so much out of doing just one or two movements, even though shifting from one leg to another properly is still a mystery to me, a lot of it is. I just keep looping the first movements over and over and if I'm stuck there forever, so be it. I'm enjoying my ineptitude in some way. I may never get it. but it is worth the pursuit, even if I remain in tai chi kindergarten. Thankyou Tiffany Chen!』
(WHAT???) 『Maybe fancy camera tricks are cool, but they are a burden when you have NO idea what is going on and are trying to learn something. Here's a hint: Let's NOT focus on the face when the whole body is moving. Let's NOT focus on a side angle when the opposing, blocked, leg is moving. And so on. Also, Ms. Chen, perhaps actually describing your movements in layman terms for all of us who have not been raised by a Tai Chi Kung Fu master would be helpful. Kthxbai ...
I'm a total noob to Tai Chi, and really want to be successful. This video is NOT for you if you have NO idea what you're doing. Thank goodness I got it as a freebie from another site!』
(A Thorough Introduction to the Chen Modified Yang-style Form) 『I am favorably impressed with this complete introduction on the William C. C. Chen Yang-style form. This form is unique enough that it will take months to truly learn the 60-movement choreography. I have the opportunity to learn this form and its related martial arts from a Chen certified instructor but didn't want to waste the first 3 to 6 months just learning the basic form movements. The competence gained through practice with this DVD will allow me to enter into the refi
