(I will use this one again) 『This is a very good DVD's for a beginner. This DVD starts lying on the ground with abdominal breathing exercises and then moves on to stretches (knees to chest etc) and then twist (knees to ground etc.)This is bit different than most yoga DVD's start, but I like the change. The practice starts out with a more relaxed and calm atmosphere. Then on to hands and knee poses (Cat-Cow, knees to chest) and then standing. There are only a few standing poses (high lunge, side-angle, forward bend with a chair, etc) but they are held long enough so you can feel the effect of the pose. It ends again on the floor with forward bends and relaxation. Beginners will learn about posture, foot placement, breath work and alignment. The total workout is about 1 hour and is well cued, expertly demonstrated and has a person to the right who modifies most moves. You will need a chair, strap, and or wall available to complete the practice. Very nice』
(Great for the fit beginner) 『Granted I am not the fittest person video on earth, I did find this to be an excellent yoga video if you are fit and never done yoga. If you could stand to lose some more weight like me then you might want to wait a little longer. Kathy was great in her instructions and it went at a nice easy pace. You do need a few things for the video: a chair, a strap or long bath towel. Head and wrist bands are optional. I did sweat to this video. The only down side to this video and I am not alone in this (read other people reviews) some of the poses are held a little too long and the video is fifty minutes long. I did have to stop half way through to take a mini breather. I would recomend this video to another person.』

The instructor is very clear and and explains the poses step by step throughout the routines, when to breath, where and when to move your arms and other advice along the same lines. I enjoyed the Sun Salutations and with a little work and time I was able to improve and stretch further so I know I am making progress. Some sections I found a bit easier to pick up than others because some parts of my body needed a bit more work, but they have come around. Definately worth it for the learning and results.』

(Rave reviews from a yoga teacher) 『I teach yoga in a style that is different from Kundalini, but after discovering Ravi and Ana's DVDs I have found Kundalini yoga to be incredibly fun, and excellent for producing results you can really feel and notice in the body and mind. Their DVDs are my favorite yoga practices now - I invariably feel stronger, healthier and happier after I practice them!
The Beginners and Beyond DVD is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or new to Kundalini yoga in particular. The DVD is fun and feels great. If you are new to this practice, I would suggest a few things:
-Read the insert that comes with the DVD first. This gives some helpful tips like not eating a few hours before practice, etc., that will help to create a more enjoyable yoga session.
-Do the Breath Primer on the DVD - if you simply hit "play DVD" then it skips the Breath Primer, so make sure to go to the Chapter Outline and do the Breath Primer the first few times you practice until you feel you "get" the breath of fire and long deep breathing.
-Listen to your body - Ana does say at the beginning of the practice that if at any time the pace being demonstrated (for moving or for breathing) is too fast for you, it is fine for you to back off. These breaths and movements can ultimately be amazing for the body, but you may want to start them a bit more slowly - there's no "shame" in that - you're still getting plenty of benefits and probably more benefit in the long run by not forcing your body and taking it at a pace that works best for you.
Practice in a way that is mindful for your body, and ENJOY the benefits!』

How are these DVDs different from other yoga DVDs?
