IPhone 3G used's review (Mosko Spruce Wood Frame Table Lamp) 『Excellent product! The lamps arrive quickly and in great shape. We love them!』
(Great Bargain!) 『Surprisingly good style and quality for the money paid! The set of two - I have bought - perfectly blended with my bedroom furniture. Sure, one could find something more solid, but it would be at least a couple of hundreds, not less. No regrets here!』
(Beautiful, sturdy lamps) 『These lamps are great! I love them. The only things you may not notice from the picture is that there's a seam on 2 of the 4 vertical edges of the lampshades where the fabric pieces are stitched together (very well done but you still see it when the lamp is on) and there's a skinny cylinder going down the center of the lamp in the middle of the 4 vertical wood structures, it's not a completely empty square in the middle as you might assume.』
(Wonderful Lamps, Wonderful Company) 『I have received so many compliments on these lamps since they arrived last month. They are beautiful and arrived very quickly. When they arrived, the shades were slightly damaged; at the first mention of this, a representative called me to apologize and to rectify things at my earliest convenience. I would certainly recommend these lamps and will look forward to working with this company again.』 『Unique modern 100% kiln dried Scandinavian Spruce wood architectural style table lamp, 27" tall, choose from black, honey, or walnut finish, with attractive hard fiber reinforced pyramid shaped shade, UL approved wiring, socket, and switch for up to a 75 Watt standard bulb, or up to 100 CF bulb, ships professionally packed fully insured in 48 hours from our Massachusetts warehouse via FedEx - expedited delivery available. The only suggestion for improvement I would make is: have a separate workout on the DVD. While Mr. Schneider does go into how long to do each individual exercise when teaching, it would be nice to have a complete, real-time run through on the DVD.
The exercises/warm-up he has you go through before you do any of the eye exercises could also be used as a gentle, yet energizing warm up for other physical exercise--a welcome and unexpected bonus.』
(yoga for eyes and minds) 『This is a very good set of book and dvd with easy to follow instructions. You learn a lot about eyes, body and mind cooperation. It makes you to respect the best organs of your senses.THE EYES!』
(MUST HAVE) 『Sure all our muscles need excersise! And why not the eyes too! I have perfect eye sight and still I feel much better, relaxed, after I started with this program. DVD comes with a small excersise book and stuff you need for the program.』
(best by test) 『Meir's book is the most thorough I have ever seen and he is clearly the most qualified having not only recreated his own eyesight sufficiently to have no restrictions on his drivers license, and to have assisted thousands to improve or regain their eyesight. In addition, his work with Muscular Dystrophy is nearly miraculous. Check out his references in this area as you will find it hard to believe that he has made such an impact in this area for which Jerry Lewis campaigns every year and to my knowledge has never even mentioned Meir.』
(Great information, bit slow on the teaching) 『This DVD is based on the Bates' book method that says MOST simple visual blurriness due to nearsightedness or far sightedness is due to eye muscle strain/stiffness, not the cornea or optic nerve (always situations where it is). This DVD shows exercise that Meir himself came up with based on the book who he himself was born almost totally blind by age 7 who passed the DMV eye exam w/o need for glasses. I've only gone through some of it, but the simple thing as warming your hands&cupping each eye with each hand for 5 min w/o pressure on the cheek bones was great. He says most people's eye muscles are stiff from too much reading, tv&computer work¬ enough looking long distances like previous generations. I didn't even think my eyes were stiff until I cupped them. When I was done, OH MY GOD, my eyes felt SSOOO refreshed&I could see slightly better. As most people, I would think sleeping is the same thing, but he says since that is passive, it does not count as giving your eyes a chance to relax. The DVD has him teaching another man how to do the exercise which contains an eye chart&simple carboard squares to work on your peripheral vision. The only reason I took off 1 star was because the teaching is so slow&drawn out I kept getting too bored to finish it.』 『"This is yoga because this is union with the eyes," explains Meir Schneider in the introduction toYoga for Your Eyes. Born legally blind, Schneider underwent many operations as a child but was unable to see more than light and shadow; he had to do all of his schoolwork in Braille. Today he is able to drive a car without use of glasses or contacts, after improving his sight holistically. In this video, Schneider shares his techniques, using movements that originate in two main sources: the techniques of ophthalmologist William Bates and Tibetan yoga.
To begin, Schneider instructs you to remove your contacts or glasses (how he expects you to see the screen clearly enough to follow the exercises is not explained). Then he moves on to "palming," a vision-improving exercise. The instruction is thorough, including directions on how to breathe, and the movements are simple and relaxing. The second segment is "Testing Your Vision," in which you're told to make your own eye chart to graph your improvement. "Stimulating Your Peripheral Vision" is next, and it requires three pieces of black construction paper and tape to help you balance the use of both eyes together. "Outdoor Exercises" explains why older people have more vision difficulties and shows how to improve this problem. The final exercises--"Sunning," "Skying," and "Long Swing"--help you to adapt to bright lights.
Schneider is an earnest instructor, who obviously believes strongly in his methods. If you're looking for a natural way to improve your eyesight,Yoga for Your Eyesis the place to begin. Also included with the video is a 62-page study guide.--Jenny Brown』
『A complete DVD course on Dr. Schneider's innovative methods offer improving vision, naturally. These proven techniques-many drawn from the principles of Tibetan yoga-relax and retain your visual system to help you see the world with less strain, greater acuity, and more spacious visual field. Includes eye chart.
IPhone 3G used's review (Awesome quick workout!) 『I love this video...it's quick, relaxing and completely changed my body like nothing else every has in only about 6 weeks! Highly recommended, especially for beginners.』
(Great for someone w/ a little yoga experience) 『When I first began yoga, this tape quickly become my favorite after familiarizing myself w/ basic poses (using Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss). I would recommend this to someone who has learned the basics and is looking for something a little more challenging. Rodney Yee is practicing on a beach, in Hawaii. The majority of this workout conisists of Sun Salutations w/ lunges and Warrior poses. There are a few seated or lying down moves and a nice 5 min. cooldown at the end. Total workout time: 20 min. All in all, this is a great tape to have if you are a beginner who is ready to move on OR as a standby for the more advanced practitioner as its a nice quick, feel good workout.』
(My go-to yoga tape!) 『This was one of two tapes I got when I started practicing yoga. (The other was Living Arts Total Yoga, which I also like, but which is somewhat different in style and is 60 minutes long.) I agree with other reviewers that Rodney Yee goes through the poses very quickly, not allowing much time to contemplate them or adjust into them. But as a beginner, I did not find this an impediment to enjoying the practice. As one reviewer pointed out, yoga is a journey. You're not going to be able to do every pose perfectly the first time. In fact, the beginning of every yoga tape urges the user to view the whole tape first. Show of hands, how many have actually done that? Yeah, me neither. Then maybe we'll have to accept that we'll be a little awkward the first few times.
I have since bought many other tapes (and some books) that have helped me understand each pose better. However, I still learn something new every time I do this workout. I like the flow of one pose to another. I like the repetition, too. And it is a nice little complete workout. You'll stretch, strengthen, breathe hard, stretch some more, and relax. The poses are somewhat challenging, yet very accessible to beginners. I always feel very bendy and centered afterward.
It's important to me to do some form of exercise every day. The length of this tape makes it easy to fit into my life. It's the tape I reach for most often for that reason.
Namaste』
(good workout but...) 『I consider myself an average yoga-er, but this is definately not a tape for beginners. you have to know what the poses are beforehand, as he moves from pose to pose very quickly, not really explaining how to get into some of the poses, which someone with no experience (aka beginner) would get lost. I would recommend this tape to more advanced yoga fans, as you will know most of these poses and be able to keep up. My only gripe is with his billing of this as for beginners, otherwise great workout.』
(Definition of the word"beginner"????) 『My big gripe is that this tape is mislabled!!! This tape is NOT for beginners! Beginners need instruction about the poses - how to do them, correct form and TIME to do them. Also most people beginning yoga lack flexibilty to move at the extremly fast pace the instructor moves in. There was no time for adjustments. I am in a power yoga class,in decent shape and I couldn't keep up using correct form. If you are not going to use correct form, why bother? If you are new to Yoga I would highly suggest Yoga Journals Yoga Step by Step 3 vol. video series. Each dvd has a 35 min instruction part followed by a 20 minute workout. Don't follow this tape like a drone. Try Yoga Journals and get educated about yoga and get a good workout as well. I hope when the tape is updated that they update the title as well. NOT FOR BEGINNERS!』 『The Living Arts® Yoga for Beginners stamina video is an easy-to-use beginners program designed to help you learn the basics for power yoga.』 『Power Stamina Yoga for Beginnerswill make you sweat--and that's the idea! Muscles stretch better when they're warm--and when you follow this demanding sequence of yoga positions, you will be. Power yoga is the rage among athletes such as runners, cyclists, and climbers, who find that it protects them from injury, promotes flexibility, and increases muscle strength and endurance. Based on the classicalastangasystem, it combines breath control with movement to bring body and mind into harmony. In only 20 minutes, this tape takes you through several sun salutations, standing strength poses, and even 4 minutes' worth of conscious relaxation, leaving you feeling strong, energized, and centered. Plus, the background scenery is terrific--not just Rodney Yee himself, but also the pounding Maui surf behind him. A word of caution: though this tape says it's "for beginners," it's most helpful for those who know some basic yoga positions already. The sequence moves quickly, and there's not a lot of time for learning a pose that's new to you or even for paying attention to form.--Mary Park』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Uninteresting and boring.) 『After two listens I wondered why I had placed this on my purchase list. The chords, chord progressions and lead up notes kept reminding me of other compositions and left me expecting to hear something else to begin. I found it frustrating to listen to, either actively or passively as background. this CD will not waste space in my library. The interesting cover picture is the only positive I can give.』
(Very relaxing music.) 『This CD delivers what the title says. Your mind just flows into a relaxed state while and after listening to it.』
(Liquid mind is what you are looking for) 『Liquid mind albums are just what you are looking for if you need a cd for sleep, meditation, or napping. This album is difficult to stay awake to. Synth sounds glide in and out like clouds; you can't focus on one too long as it will pass by and you will find another sound-cloud to float on. No rhythm, no melody, no beat; there is enough change to keep you from being able to predict what is going to happen next but not so much that you stay alert. Very good for this purpose.』
(ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ) 『This is one incredible compact disc. It is so good, I can't wait to get home, hop in bed and throw the headphones on. The synthesizers are soooo soothing, they put me in a state of cosmic euphoria. I feel the stress of the day, just being pulled out of my body, and a soothing clam that follows. It is one of 3 that I have purchased which provide the same sense of tranquility that I require at the end of the day. If your daily life is filled with stress, (and who's isn't). This CD is highly recommended.....』
(Numb Resemblance) 『Balance is a mirror of Chuck Wild's first project (Ambience Minimus) 3 years earlier. Unfortunately there is no forward progress in the Liquid Mind series. There is more warmth than it's predacesor "Slow World", but that ethereal "Ambience Minimus" tone is lacking. Here the tone tends to be outlaid rather than uprisen. Yes it dose maintain that flowing monochromatic state and it's planes dissolve well with some interesting soundshifting. But that is not enough to make this project appealing.』 『Liquid Mind III: Balance, the third inLiquid Mind'selegant series of slow stress-relief music albums, transports the listener to a place of inner peace and deep calm. Like the prior albums (Slow WorldandAmbience Minimus),Liquid Mind III: Balanceis serene and lush, electronic and elegant, and floats the listener along in a gentle healing stream of sound.』
IPhone 3G used's review (A *Real* Introduction to Yoga) 『If you'd really like to introduce your 3-6 year old to yoga, then this is the video you've been looking for. Most of the other videos I've seen just have the kids running around with no real instruction. In this video, there is an instructor who guides three children through an actual yoga routine and introduces them to many different asanas. What a great video! The whole family will want to join in!』
(Great Intro to Yoga for Kids) 『I now have 2 yoga tapes for my kids. I like them equally, but for different reasons.
This video is filmed in a nice studio with wooden floors, and an instructor with a great personality for kids. She makes it fun, but keeps focused on the yoga.
This video has about a 20 minute actual yoga routine, which includes standing and sitting poses. It flows nicely from one pose to the next, while also giving kids enough time to transition. I've done it with my 4 1/2 year old several times, and I like the workout too. Nice variety of poses.
I'd recommend this to anyone interested in kids yoga. I'd say it's for kids ages 3-6, just like they suggest.』
(Leah Kalish does it again) 『As I wrote in a previous review, my older daughter (now 9.5) loves Yoga Fitness for Kids, 7 to 12. Earlier this year, my four-year old started doing some yoga postures with me, and I decided to try this video out.
Just perfect. The program is about twenty minutes long and includes a"warmup"where the kids get to pretend that they're different shapes and colors. Then we move into postures very similar to the older video, but treated slightly less seriously. Windmill, Seed (Child), Cobra, Sandwich (Forward Bend), Flower and Rocking Horse all reappear, as well as a few others. New to this video are Boat and Shark (Locust) as well as a few others. Kalish does an excellent job of making the postures more of a game than a"workout"or anything else with a lot of structure. The program ends with a brief relaxation (Kalish rightfully understands that small children will not tolerate being still for very long).
My younger daughter really enjoys this program, and it's a nice way to integrate family time with getting a (little bit) of yoga in for me. Highly recommended for children ages 3.5 to 6.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Great practice limited by VHS format) 『This video is a great argument for looking for all your yoga workouts on DVD. David Swenson has a wonderful understanding of ashtanga yoga, and the first 45 or so minutes of the video is an introductory section of him explaining each movement and showing alternatives for those at different fitness levels. It's great, but I get VERY tired of having to fast-forward to the actual beginning of the practice every time I want to use this tape. Having said that, the practice itself is great, and Swenson challenges yet encourages and reassures at the same time. I'm waiting for his practices to come out on DVD so I can chuck the video and continue using this for my daily practice. Also, the practice is fairly long (over an hour) so it's great for when you have time to do a concentrated session but I don't recommend it for people who only have time for twenty minute practices inbetween other activities. If you do have the time, though, it's wonderful; it's the only tape I have that leaves me feeling as limber and challenged and calm all at once as an actual yoga class with a real teacher. This video also wins me over by avoiding one of my major pet peeves: there's no crappy, New Agey soundtrack in the background drowning out the teacher, and I can play my own music while I practice. Big big plus.』 『The complete Primary Series begins with an introduction explaining the foundations of the practice. David's delivery of the basic principles is clear and down-to-earth. He opens this practice to a variety of levels by offering varying degrees of approach. After the introduction there is a fully guided First Series practice in the traditional flowing rhythm inherent to Ashtanga Yoga. The session ends with a guided deep relaxation.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Not one of Rodney/s best) 『I have several Rodney Yee videos (6) and I have enjoyed them all from his power yoga for beginners series to to yoga burn. But this one misses the mark. There is not real flow just a set of posture grouped together. Missing is that trademark Rodney Yee dynamic flow. Nothing about this felt helpful. This one won't join my regular rotation of Yee videos in my practice』
(Good Video to Structure a Session, but NOT a Complete Session) 『Many have found this video to be a fairly advanced yoga workout, but for those who are familiar with a Vinyasa Flow or Ashtanga practice which generally last for 100+ intense minutes a session, you may find this to be of only moderate difficulty.
The video contains 2 "discreet" sessions with variations in vinyasa sun salutations that build up gradually in intensity. The sessions are short at 16 minutes for the first vinayasa series and about 20 minutes for the second, but Rodney is quick to point out that for a more vigorous practice, one should repeat the various sequences as desired or throw in additional postures as you see fit.
This personal modification would be necessary for those familiar with doing the full 10 Surya Namaskara A and B sun salutations, and means using the video as a fluid complete session is not really intended or possible as you would have to pause the video while the repeats are performed.
A couple postures from the Standing Fundamental Asanas are thrown in namely the Triangle pose and Utthita Parsvakonasana...but no real direction on how to do the postures properly is given. This means that some familiarity or formal instruction is beneficial so the postures are done correctly with proper alignment.
The end of the first session concludes with some relaxation poses, but not a complete finishing or Shavasana sequence.
The second session includes additional variants to the sun salutations, and then gets into some balance work with the tree posture, some moderate inversion and arm balance work using the side plank and Warrior 3.
There is a challenging session using a bent arm Downward Dog, and an extended Downward Dog held for 2 minutes. These are good elements to build into a personal practice and Rodney states that with time the postures can be held for 5 minutes and up, indicating again that the video is meant to be used for practice "ideas" rather than as a complete practice itself.
Rodney also includes some shoulder stand work and plow position(Halasana) work modified using a chair and straps. These are some standard postures from the Ashtanga finishing sequence. Rodney states that the shoulder stand postures can be held for up to 10 minutes as desired as strength increases.
He concludes the second session and the video itself with a discussion that the final postures are very challenging and are something to build up to. The crane posture used first is probably the first introduction most students get to arm balances and he guides the student into this posture in a fairly clear manner. The posture is challenging, but is one that is regularly practiced in my studio's Level 1-2 Ashtanga class so not something that is considered overly advanced.
The final posture referred to as the Pendulum posture has been criticized by many reviewers here as being impossible, but again, with yoga, the postures exist to challenge the practitioner. Rodney explains that using blocks will help the user get into this position, and while difficult, to those familiar with an Ashtanga style practice will recognize the Pendulum posture as the fundamental building block to performing the pass through vinyasas from downward dog to sitting...a sequence that is performed numerous times throughout an Ashtanga practice.
I would recommend this video to those who are reasonably familiar with a yoga practice and have some formal instruction so as to be able to get into the postures correctly with proper alignment.
The shortness of the sessions and moderate level of difficulty allow access to beginner practitioners, but the lack of instruction on adjustments and how to do the postures properly means that beginners will likely develop bad habits fast.
The sessions are good to use as building blocks for a personal practice and for variety in mixing-up one's repetition with the traditional Surya Namaskara A and B sequences, but given the shortness of the sessions, they can't really be used as a complete practice.
The practices done in series if you keep doing the practice without stopping at the conclusion of the first session creates a reasonable length session at about an hour...but is a bit clunky as finishing postures are included at what would be the middle mark of the combined session.
Again, a good video to be incorporated into an existing practice while finding less utility as a complete practice itself.』
(A remarkable practice) 『I don't recall where I got this video but from the beginning I loved it. I refer many of my students to this video. The only complaint I have is that I have not been able to find it on DVD.
This is a great video for beginners and intermediates and is wonderful for an easy practice for those intermediates who just need something slow and calming.

(Excellent but challenging) 『I started Yoga about 8 months ago at our local community college. I have purchased several DVDs to supplement my class. Rodney Yee has a calm and soothing voice. The inverted poses are a challenge for a beginner like my but I just go at my own pace and do my best.』
(Well-timed, excellent for beginners) 『Review: Strength Building Yoga by Rodney Yee
Challenging workout for beginners and intermediates who don't like to go to fast with power yoga. As others have mentioned, there are challenging poses at the end to work up to. For me, it was challenging enough to do the poses with form as beautiful as Rodney's. (I am new to Vinyasa, and have been doing gentle hatha for ten years.)
Well-timed. Poses are held enough to build strength, also to work on improving form and consciousness of that form. It will help the viewer to build form and strength in preparation for faster, more challenging workouts like Power Yoga Total Body Workout DVD.
The production value was excellent. (Package says filmed in inspiring Maui, but it actually took place in a dramatically lit interior space. That was the only mistake with the packaging.) The camera work and set design are excellent, very professional.
Namaste&thank you Rodney for a thoughtful challenging workout.』 『In the first 10 minutes of this 75-minute video, expert yoga teacher Rodney Yee performs a truly stunning flow series that will motivate you and leave your muscles itching to work. The lesson begins with variations of sun salutations and poses such as the dog pose, triangle pose, and others. In the second, more intense sequence, Yee leads the bridge, shoulder stand, warrior, and balancing poses, his narration soothing and his technique inspiring. Very difficult poses, such as the crane pose and pendulum pose, comprise the end of the set. This session is not recommended for those new to yoga because it is quite strenuous; students should first be familiar with the vinyasas to ensure that the poses are reached and held correctly.Yoga Journal's Yoga Practice for Strengthis an exceptional workout that will build stamina, power, and confidence.--Jhana Bach』

Not only does it make it difficult to follow her, but you don't get to enjoy the poses or the stretches. It's difficult to understand her directions--so you have to watch her rather than listen. You can't do the poses and watch her at the same time, making this DVD completely worthless.』
(I expected more) 『I bought this workout because of the great reviews for Vol. 1, but I was very disappointed. The actual workout is only 17 minutes long. The yoga poses are rushed. There is no time to breath into the stretches. There are many modified poses so that you can choose your level. It is amazing what this woman can do with her pregnant body. There are some unique poses that I haven't seen in other pregnancy yoga workouts. But, I was disappointed with this purchase. I do not want to have to pause every pose so that I can get a good stretch, and at least 30 minutes of a workout. I don't recommend this yoga workout to anyone. Save you money.』
(Love love love it!) 『This is a great DVD. It moves quickly and has some original moves, so the first few times were a little difficult to follow. But after 2 goes and one viewing of the instructional session, I fell in love with it! It gets straight down to business, flows really well and provides a good level of challenge. I feel great afterwards. It doesn't just churn out the same old moves - the originality really adds to the enjoyment. I agree with others that the Steben sisters have great French accents and are not the least bit annoying.
It is an active workout, rather than a long slow stretch with earth mother diatribe. If Shiva Rea drives you mad (like me!), this one is really worth a try.
This one is really worth a try. 』
(Too much for 3rd Trimester) 『I was looking for a more relaxed workout to ease my sore joints. This DVD was way to much for my 3rd trimester body. She moves so quickly that your body just can't adjust. It left me lightheaded and disappointed that I couldn't keep up. I prefer Shiva Rea's yoga DVD.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Good, but...) 『I love Rachel Brice, so it's hard to only give her 4 stars.
These are drills, as stated, and they are good drills. Practicing this DVD regularly has helped my control as a dancer. I have two complaints.
1.) There is only 40 minutes of instruction, not 78. Both the 15 minute practice and the 30 minute practice contain the same moves as the 40 minute practice. They are recorded end to end, 15 min., 30 min, 40 min, and her performance at the end, to equal 78 minutes.
2.) This doesn't contain much of Rachel Brice's signature dance style. This is a foundation DVD. It will help you build up to the amazing control that Rachel Brice has. This will not teach you her moves, but this will help you do basic moves with wonderful precision, power, and poise, like Rachel Brice.
Honestly, if I didn't feel that the repetition of the moves in the 3 practices was so cheap, I would give her 5 stars. This is a really good DVD for honing your skills as a dancer.』
(Great for Beginners/Intermediates) 『I love Rachel Brice - she is one of my favorite bellydancers. This video is great, but wasn't really ideal for me personally. I'm not a huge Yoga fan (way too impatient!) and a lot of time is devoted to that. The drills and isolations are awesome and I frequently use this DVD as a reference because Rachel does a great job explaining everything. I have been bellydancing for about 2 1/2 years and I teach a beginner bellydance class, so for me this DVD was too basic. If you are a beginner/intermediate this would be a great addition to your collection! If you are advanced, I would say rent it first before you buy it.』
(alright, but...) 『Ok, I have mixed emotions about this dvd. I love that you can choose which work out to do depending on how much time you have or what you're up to doing, I have yet to come across another dvd that does that. However, there is a LOT of yoga and I get bored of it easily, but it's good for me so I shouldn't complain. The lack of moves covered is also an issue and the thing that bugs the heck out of me is that everything she does seems to be arrhythmic like they added in the drum beat with the voice over. Overall it's an alright dvd but I believe there are much better out there that I would rather spend my money on.』
(It works for me : )) 『I love the 15, 30 or 45 minute options. There is a lot of yoga but then again... the lady loves yoga and it's her DVD and thats what she wanted to put on it so everyone should quite whinning. Yoga is good for you, anyone who dances should know that. It's not an overwhelming DVD but it covers very important things that do need practiced often. I'm happy with my purchase.』
(More advertisment, less video.) 『First off I should say that I absolutely LOVED the video. I loved how it started off with the Yoga to stretch you out..and then works on the drills - which always gets me wanting to dance. I love the way it's got different workout times as well. But, my only problem with this video...On the back of the dvd case..it says 3/4 shimmy preparatio
