IPhone 3G used's review (Very Beautiful Dividers) 『These are very beautiful honely colored 4 panel room dividers are light weight and really give me privicy. They were kind of expensive but exactly what I was looking for. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these screen room dividers to anyone who can afford them. They are a little bit delicate so you might think twice if you have kids running around.』

IPhone 3G used's review (I wasted my money.) 『I find this "chair" unusable. I have to brace my self on the desk, to keep from falling on my face. After trying to use it for about ten minuets my back hurt for two days. I hate it and won't use it.』 『For those who seek ultimate comfort and great posture, The Original YogaChair® is the perfect solution.
Finally, an affordable high-quality wooden kneeling chair available in a variety of colors!
* A great office chair for work.
* A super desk chair for your home office.
* An awesome video gaming chair for the kids.* And the ultimate computer chair for everyone
in the family.
At THIS price, you'll want more than one!
Why YogaChair feels so different and so good.
As you sit in a regular chair your core muscles relax. Your spine and your shoulders collapse into your pelvis and put a strain on back muscles, especially your lower back muscles. Notice your posture and how you feel when sitting in a regular chair after only a very short period of time. Its probably not good; you certainly don't feel the expansiveness in your lower and mid-back area that you feel while sitting on the YogaChair. When sitting on YogaChair your spine naturally lifts out of your pelvis area. You can actually feel your spine comfortably extending from your pelvis without any effort. As your spine extends from your pelvis while sitting you can feel your lower, middle and upper back muscles relax. Your entire body, including your vital organs, are less constricted. The improved sitting position is healthier for your body and allows you to sit comfortably for long periods of time. Your body will find a natural sitting position, just from sitting on YogaChair. You can test this comparison on a regular chair. Sit on the end of your chair, feet flat on the floor with your back not touching the back of your chair. Feel how your spine extends out from your rear end. Unfortunately, it is difficult to undo years of repetition and we do not sit properly in a regular chair for more than a few momentsIn a YogaChair you do not have to think about sitting properly. The design of YogaChair accomplishes that and sitting is easy.』 fetish『 Liquid Mind VII: Reflection 』

I purchased Liquid Mind III years ago it's music became almost sacred to myself and other family members and friends. So, I purchased the entire series! Need I say more?!!!! The music has a great "trademark" sound but each CD has it's own uniqueness. I found it was great anytime you need "background" music. I loved each and every CD by Liquid Mind and will treasure the music always. Thanks to Chuck Wild and all involved in the production of Liquid Mind!』
(ok massage music) 『It's a little slow and boring for my taste, but it provides for constant airy sound. Typical spa music.』
(JUST MELT) 『When the day is through and nothing is left but the thoughts of the day that you wish would go away put on this music. Close your eyes, your mind, and melt away on the soft liquid sounds of this calming energy. IT is so soothing I can forget my noise filled mind and find a cloud to stretch out onto and just be......nothing』
(Exactly what I was looking for) 『I always tried to relax by listening to classical music. Some classical is relaxing, but it can change tempo and volume often which I find distracting. This is much more calming then anything I've ever found. We have two of these cd's -- Reflection and Unity. I use it in the kitchen, or while I'm reading at bedtime. My 10-year-old listens to one at bedtime to help him calm down. I really love these cd's.』
(A perfect CD for Massage) 『As a massage therapist, it is really tough to find appropriate music for a session. This CD hits the mark. No singing, chanting, or other distracting bird calls. Just pure melodious tunes that flow from one song to the other. My clients love this CD and you will too.』 『"...In an agitated stream, it is difficult to see a reflection. In a calm lake, that reflection is clear...."
Liquid Mind VII: Reflection, the seventh in Liquid Mind 's unique ultra-slow relaxation albums, ebbs and flows with a peaceful and introspective elegance. Science has proven that our minds and bodies harmonize with the tempo of our surroundings, and that slow music may cause a general relaxation of muscle tension. This beautiful album is "musical healthcare" at its best: ideal for sleeping, meditation, anxiety and anger management, as a background to Reiki, Yoga, massage, and to enhance all healing activities. Parents and teachers find it useful to quiet hyperactive kids, veterinarians use the music to help animals recovering from surgery, mothers give birth to it, students study to it, artists paint and writers write to the musical backdrop of Liquid Mind. This subtle music has a way of opening our hearts and minds to our true selves.』

Sounds True
Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Great music, not a whole ton of traditional yoga asanas) 『I love the music on this CD, so I definitely think of it as a worthwhile buy. However, the workout itself is a complement to a regular yoga practice. It doesn't have at all the same feel you would get by going to a yoga class - it's more like Shiva uses yoga principles to put you in a place where you can trance dance. Personally, I enjoy the structure of traditional yoga, so this workout may not be for me. That said, I really, really love the music, and it's great that she includes a CD with just the music. I plan to do my own home yoga practice using that.』
(The most useful cd in my collection) 『I am very pleased with the purchase of this cd. Shivarea class has a process that took me to a deeper state of ecstatic meditation. She starts with invocation and prana conciousness, then moves on to bringing movement and fluidity to the spine. Free rhythmic grounded movements lead to trance dance. Prana yoga follows. The session ends with kirtan, and a beautiful prayer. Shivarea also brings Poetry to different sgments of her class. Simple and powerful...』
(Fabulous!) 『This is a low impact workout that gets your heart pumping yet manages to relax you at the same time. As a bellydancer, I found many connections between the circular, undulating and figure 8 movements in one of the trance dance sections with middle eastern dance. The music is Indian inspired and the second CD is lovely just to listen to and unwind.』
(Fabulous!) 『Geoffrey Gordon's music is awesome--the CD starts out with slow, hypnotic music that increases in intensity with each track. Shiva Rea's instructions are excellent, and trance dance is just plain fun. You start out with a fluid, flowing yoga series that gradually moves into an all-out free-form dance, then slows back down to yoga and total relaxation. It feels goooood! I love the fact that there are 2 CDs--one with instructions over the music, and one with music only.』 『Yoga and dance are two great rivers that lead us back into our bodies and rejuvenate us with prana the vital energy of life. Yoga awakens the breath, fluidity of the spine, and inner power. Free-form trance dance cultivates natural movement, intuition, and creativity. Now, with Yoga Trance Dance anyone who loves yoga or dance can experience the benefits of both these traditions in one energized workout.
On Disc one, Shiva Rea guides listeners through the same innovative methods that she offers at her acclaimed yoga retreats and workshops worldwide. Practitioners begin with creative flow yoga move into the depths of ecstatic dance and complete their session with moving meditation and chant. Disc Two contains just the music a phenomenal full-length world trance dance album ideal for self-guided sessions, traditional yoga, or just great listening.
For those looking for a dynamic new way to enhance their range of motions, break through physical and energetic blockages, boost cardiovascular strength, and create a more positive relationship with ones body, heres the perfect program Yoga Trance Dance.』
Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Ab Power Kest Style) 『I'm a big fan of Bryan Kest. He has a way of creating programs that are challenging physically without losing the essence of yoga.
He always emphasizes breathing, focus and respecting one's limitations. He also stresses the idea of using your yoga practice to work on maintaining equanimity during your practice. The idea being that if you can practice having equanimity in the face of these physical challenges that it can translate into your real life as you deal with the day to day challenges of being a human being.
In terms of the physical part of the practice, this 6 minute Abs program is a really great way to be able to target your abdominals in a way that utilizes your whole body. It uses an interesting variety of poses which definitely move your abs through various ranges of motion.
This program is actually made up of two separate routines which are about 15 minutes each, with probably about 6 minutes of it being strictly focused on the abdominals. Of course most Yoga poses utilize your whole body by being very synergistic so your abs are actually almost always engaged.
Each of the two routines start with one Sun Salutation A and one B, then moves into a Series that is works the abdominals more specifically. One example of a yoga pose that he turns into an excellent abdominal pose is balancing table with one arm extended to one side while your opposite leg extends out to the other side.
Both routines have some vinyasa interspersed between the abdominal poses and end's with a supine twist and relaxation.
Either of these routines are excellent by themselves but can also be combined with another short routine. For example, you may follow or precede it with one of the Yoga Zone tapes (that have 2-20 minute routines per tape), something like Stress Relief Yoga by Suzanne Deason or any of the Power Yoga for Beginners programs by Rodney Yee or anything else you like.
I would have to agree with another reviewer who said that the title of the video might accidentally make people think that this program might be mistaken as literally a 6 minute workout and might hesitate to purchase it. That is a shame because this program is definitely much more than the title indicates.
As a person who has been doing yoga every day for about 8 years, has a substantial yoga video/dvd library and studies with an excellent teacher, I feel pretty comfortable recommending this program to anyone who is looking to have an excellent power yoga program with emphasis on the abdominals.
Namaste』
(The Core of Power and Health) 『This is a very short tape, made up of two body-core centered workouts, one of which is a little harder than the other. Unlike some abs tapes, this tape does not so much isolate your abs as work them hard as part of your body core. You will really develop abdominal power and flexibility, as well as the Yoga glow that comes from deep breathing and a calm mind. You may not"feel the burn"the same way you would from crunches, but your abs and back will definitely thank you for these great strengthening and body-integrating movements. A good complement to the other Power tapes, Intensive Body Sculpting and the Weight Loss tape.』
(Right to the spot) 『I liked this video for targeting right where it says, the abs. Moreover, it doesn't sacrifice any of the yoga, at least the way Bryan teaches, because I found myself still focusing on my breath with every movement. I like using this video on those days when I want to focus on my abs.』
(Not the workout I'd hoped for.) 『While this may work for some people, it doesn't work well for me. It's presented well and the asanas should work. I will admit that because of a bad lower back I couldn't do all the asanas as I should. So it probably would work well for others. I am going to try it with some back support and see if I can do it more effectively. I found that I got much more of an ab workout that I felt later the same day with Baron Baptist's new video, Journey into Power - Level 2. And it isn't even a core video. Also, I don't like Baptiste as well as Kest simply because Kest has a better flow from Downward Dog to Cobra and then the transition pushup, which Baptiste fails to use. I guess that's a minor point, however.
This video will probably be great for someone who has a reasonably strong lower back. But I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone who does not. I'm going to try it again and if I still have problems, I plan to sell the video.
There are two workouts on the video. The second one is supposed to be more challenging. I've not tried it yet.
Bryan has gone more mainstream now and is not as appealing and his videos lack what they had in 1995. But I think that because he's older, this is a natural evolution and there's certainly nothing wrong with it. He's still a wonderful instructor.
Baron Baptiste does, however, name the asanas and gives you a bit more help in his videos. But I think a video that may be good to one person may not to another.』
『Your abdominal region is your body's central support system. This video includes a series of short, focused routines with poses specially designed to target the abs, to strengthen your body's central support system and aid in the strengthening of your lower back. The first routine includes a warm-up, 6 minutes of power abs and a cool down. The second features a longer and more challenging ab workout. This video is from the latest (2002) series from Bryan Kest, after his exceptionally popular Power Yoga series: Energize, Tone and Sweat. Check out others in the series like Weight Loss and Intensive Body Sculpting, both of these in videotape or DVD format.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Helpful exercises drowned in silliness) 『I was looking forward to a gentle challenge for my last month of pregnancy when I popped this video into the VCR (It was a hand-me-down tape from a friend). After losing my patience with the turban and muu-muu wearing instructor's long monologue that opens the tape I fast-forwarded until I saw the typical exercise-video setup.
This was the beginning of the end for me. I resisted completely turning off the tape but couldn't help laughing as I watched some of the overly-enthusiastic participants writhing around while the instructor croons "Your baaaaby loves to mooooove this waaaay." It made me feel ridiculous.
The reason I gave it two stars is that there are a few truly useful exercises that can be learned if you can ignore the instructor, participants, and music to get to them. If you're interested in trying this video, see if you can borrow it from the local library before you spend any money on it.』
(A very easy exercise) 『I was at my 16 weeks when I started to use this DVD. This is my first pregnancy. I enjoy exercising and before I got pregnant, I go to the gym at least once a week. I enjoy challenging lower-body toning exercises, bodycombat (high-cardio) classes, machine-weights to tone my upper body. I have done beginner to intermediate yoga classes and do not have a very flexible body. I now swim twice a week (20 minutes) and exercise to this DVD every other day.
The instructor is not pregnant in this video and looks very "zen-ish" with her head dress (a white turban looking thing). The video starts out with a 10-15 minute clip of her talking about how yoga is good for the mother and the baby.
During the next 5 minutes or so, she instructs the class to sit in an upright cross-legged position, with eyes closed and chant to a language I do not understand. Apparently, it means "I bow to the divine power in myself" or something to that effect. I find this section disturbing and do not like the sound of it at all, so I typically fast forward to the point where the lesson proper begins.
The class has a live band playing at the back of the room. Music is okay. The venue looks rather old-fashioned. However, lighting was okay. You will see some camera man moving behind the flowers and pillars once in a while. The women were dressed in big T-shirts and tights, others in full body suits. They have make-up on, and some look quite pretty and attractive. Nothing fanciful or appealing about the set, in general.
The next 30-minute section has very good exercises to help a pregnant woman stretch and relax her body. Gentle stretches and exercises that are only enough to get my heartbeat up by a little. However, even though the exercises are simple, I feel very good after at the end of it. I feel good to have stretched the thighs, arms, toes, calves, lower and upper back, neck, kegel muscle. All in all, if you are looking for a non-strenuous and gentle stretching exercise to help you to remain flexible and to relief stiff joints and aches, this would be the DVD. One thing to note, the instructor in this video emphasizes a lot on "feeling" the movements in the body and to release all inhibitions.
This is not the DVD if you are looking to tone those hips, butts and thighs and sweat it all out.
The video ends with another session of chanting (which I skip). Apparently, the words are supposed to heal and give you strength or something like that. And after that, we all lie down and close our eyes to relax, as with all yoga classes.
I am still waiting for two DVDs to arrive: 1) The Perfect Pregnancy Workout 2) Shiva Rea Prenatal Yoga』
(Great for labor prep) 『Kinda silly looking as I guess it's "look" is quite outdated now. But this video is wonderful. It's very gentle and easy but felt great when I was 7 months and beyond during my pregnancy. I feel it's focus is much more towards preparing and opening a woman's body for birth rather than a typical yoga workout.
Retrospectively, it was this video and all the yogic philosophy that goes along with it that allowed me to birth naturally.』
(Not What I Was Looking For in a Yoga DVD) 『I have been practicing yoga for over seven years now with a studio, through various classes, and using home DVDs when my schedule is hectic. I did a fair bit of reading about prenatal yoga once I found out we were pregnant, and I knew my body would be very happy to have the yoga continue to help my back and my poor sciatic wonky-hip pain. My yoga studio has a prenatal class, but the schedule does not work with mine so I thought I would get a DVD to supplement until I could make it to classes again.
This was not the right video for me. There was too much discussion, too much commentary, and not enough actual yoga going on for my taste. I did not appreciate this woman attempting to facilitate my relationship with my "bay-bay" (hug your bay-bay, dance with your bay-bay, your bay-bay loves it when you do this move, etc). I have my own special time 24/7 with this beeb in my belly, and I did not get this dvd to inform me of the fact that I'm supposed to hug and love my belly. I needed some quiet time (she never stops talking) with some gentle moves to keep my back happy, my body moving, and my mind at ease. This DVD is currently sitting by the door as I will not use it again.
I'm not sure why I didn't just go with the Gaiam dvd... it is now on order.』
(Too much music!) 『The music was very distracting it was hard to hear or think over it. I guess I could have turned down the volume and just watched... :) I would not recommend this to a friend though.. :( :(』 『Relaxing, strengthening, and allowing oneself to feel rather than think have long been associated with ancient yoga practice. Instructor Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa expertly ties this essential combination of physical experiences together in a gentle exercise video for pregnant women of all fitness levels. Prior to the 45-minute routine, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa discusses the role of yoga in helping with pregnancy; the calm and security that develop through guided breathing and gentle movement are transferred from the mother's body to her growing baby. The nonimpact routine itself provides ample warm-up, toning, and conditioning portions, as well as a deep, head-to-toe relaxation and visualization segment. Ten pregnant students (all pleasantly unrehearsed) stretch, bend, and learn along with the viewer, to the peaceful sounds of a live band consisting of wood flute, bass, quiet drum, and shimmering bells. Every bit as enriching for the soul as it is for the body.--Liane Thomas』
IPhone 3G used's review (Not what I expected) 『I am an intermediate level Pilates practioner who has taken a few classes. The description on the cover of this tape led me to expect a fast-moving, challenging intermediate level workout. Instead, this tape turned out to be a relatively slow-moving Pilates practice which would be more appropriate for beginners. Many of the exercises are modified versions of the classic Pilates moves, but those brand-new to Pilates might have difficulties following along, as there is only limited instruction given by Moira Stott to her two students. This workout would be best suited to advanced beginners who want a workout that moves at a steady pace and can be completed in under 30 minutes.』
(Stott Power Mat Workout) 『Excellent next step after mastering the intermediate tape - two students show clearly how to modify each excercise for your level and body type. If you are already doing the advanced tape this will not be a challenge for you.』 『For those who have mastered the essential level exercises or are familiar with pilates, the Stott Pilates Power Matwork from Video Action Sports is a dynamic and energizing way to work out.』

Very good selection of routines that are designed to start off with then another set when I got a bit stronger.
I liked the pace and instruction and finally can say I am stronger and not consider myself inflexible any more, so I will continue to work out to improve even further.』
(An Inflexible Man) 『I am pretty inflexible especially since I stopped working out awhile ago and now tyring to get back into it.
This is great in how it lays everything out clearly and addresses the needs of people like myself and I found myself getting stronger and more flexible after a a month and a half, so I am pleased with my progress though I have a way to go still.』
(pilates) 『I have tried pilates for dummies and loved it, this cd is an extention of that video with more moves.』
(Are you kidding?) 『I had high hopes for this dvd, and I was sorely disappointed. I'm giving it two stars because there is value in the material itself. Unfortunately, Maggie Rhoades' delivery is so ridiculously poor it overshadows everything else. Ever heard a second-grader read something with such a complete lack of fluency that you can't comprehend the sentence, even though you can understand each word? In a nutshell, that is Maggie Rhoades. Her pained grimace, her use of ridiculous jargon over simple language, the voiceovers that make parts of the video look like a dubbed foreign film, all make the dvd so irritating to try to follow as to be useless. Save your money.』
(Just what I was hoping for) 『This is for those of us who need a more remedial approach to Pilates, not for people who can do a standard beginner level video. So, if you want to get the benefits of Pilates but the standard modifications on other videos are still too hard, get this DVD. It's exactly what you have been hoping for. Rodney is a great instructor that is calm and guiding in his presentation of the material. Though a few poses may present a bit more challenge depending upon how new/strong you are, they are within reach with just a bit of practice.
To the extent that people have mentioned that the cues are off, that was not an issue at all. After the first or second time you are listening more than watching anyway, though the setting and Rodney's movemments are definately worth watching.
Work with it a little bit and it will more than pay off in results.』
(Great workout&relaxing) 『I started the yoga and after only 5 sessions feel refreshed! It is a great beginner yoga DVD, provides many challenging poses, and is ultra relaxing. I love this and would recommend this to anyone interested in trying it for the first time!』
(Rodney Yee's the best for at- home yoga!) 『I have been taking yoga off and on for the past 3-4 years living in Los Angeles. As I have now been broke, I figured, I guess I can do the yoga at home since I have been familiarized with different styles of yoga as well as the poses. The Rodney Yee series ( I have three now) are pretty good. The power yoga really is helpful in helping me relax as well as build up my strength. In addition, it is actually nice to do good yoga at home without the stifling crowds we get in the yoga studios. I highly recommend this as well as his other 30 minute series.
』
(A lot of power in a short amount of time) 『I've been doing yoga for several years, but still consider myself a beginner. I find this to be a challenging 30 minute workout, and use it when I am looking to pack in a harder practice in a short amount of time. It involves some faster paced sun salutations along with some strength building positions such as crow. I alternate this with Power Yoga - Flexibility when I want to focus on flexibility, Power Yoga - Total Body Workout when I have a little more time, and A.M. and P.M. Yoga for Beginners when I am looking for a gentle practice.』
(Power Yoga: (Aerobic Pace and Arm) Strength...) 『The Good: Delivers a decent arm/shoulder workout. Puts in a few arm balances. Gets into the workout fast.
The Bad: Pacing is very fast, few poses are held for more than a couple seconds. Apart from a few arm-balances, not much to look forward to.
The Verdict: With only 20 minutes to work with, Yee gives your arms and shoulders an aerobic-yoga workout. Unfortunately, the practice is so short and fast paced, that it stands to be nothing more than a yoga-supplement to a more complete workout.
Full Review: I've been using Yee's "Power Yoga: Full Body" for a while now, and thought I'd put some mixture into my routine. As always Yee's calm delivery makes this easy to listen to. I nearly didn't have to watch the DVD before first attempting it, as it's not that difficult to follow-as long as you can move quickly between poses. No, really. Move FASTER!
The pacing of the routine is going to turn some people off, plain and simple. "Power Yoga: Full Body" is medium paced, while this is fast paced. Very fast. In fact, you barely have time to hit a pose before moving to the next. The only poses that you'll spend any time in are the arm-balances, and downward-facing dog.
It's a short, accelerated, 20 minute aerobic workout for your upper body, shoulders, arms, and reportedly abs. Realistically, I felt it in my arms, and to some extent my shoulders. After doing to routine a couple of times, I was able to keep pace easy enough, though admittedly I felt like I was really rushing through an otherwise enjoyable yoga practice.
The workout itself is brief, jumping straight into sun salutations (which remain for the entire workout), lots of up/downward-facing dog, standing forward bend, mtn pose, lunges, and a few arm balances and chair poses. You do two or three seated poses, then go into a short relaxation pose.
The obvious question here is why would Gaiam/ Yee make such a short "Strength" video? I mean, I did 20 minutes of Intermediate yoga and then had absolutely no problem knocking this one off. In no way am I saying that this workout is easy, but that it really is only worthwhile as a supplement to another routine I'll do before/after it.
In many ways, I just don't feel the workout was constructed well. Why cap a yoga practice at 20 minutes? Apart from a few arm balances, and a lot of downward-facing dog/sun salutations - this really isn't that inventive. Why didn't they put in at least another 10 minutes of arm balances... handstands, shoulderstands, forearm-stands, headstands, something, anything more? I think they could have slowed the pace back down to medium fast and added a few more strength poses to extend the time to 30 or 40 minutes, creating a fuller experience without losing the spirit of the practice.
I like Yee's instruction and delivery, and the DVD is a unique yoga workout-but I can't give it more than three stars. It's fast pace, and brevity make it of limited use to me.』 『Power up your body and mind with Power Yoga: Strength a fast-moving flow sequence that works arms back and abs to build strength that s balanced throughout all the large and small muscles.
