『This is an MX Imports original! Combining East and West, enjoy this colorful and decorative Talavera Om. The piece is for decoration only and has a string in the back for hanging on the wall. Please note that our multi-color styles each come in a different color combination. * = All Small MX Oms are only available in our Multi-Color (MC) style. Dimensions: 6.0" X 6.0" X 0.5". The striking ceramic known as Talavera is over 800 years old, originating in the Talavera de la Reina region of Spain. At that time, it was called Majolica. Known for its beautiful glaze work, Talavera was imported to Mexico in the 16th century where it was used to decorate monasteries and churches with tiles and religious figures. Talavera is not turned or tin glazedthe pigments are brushed onto raw or unfired glaze. Each piece takes between 12 and 15 days to complete. It must set for 16 to 18 hours before being liquefied and poured into molds. The pieces are then hand polished and fired for six hours at 1500 (F) degrees, then painted and baked again in an 1800 (F) degree oven. Prehispanic Mexican craftsmen blended the majolica process with their own interpretation of the method to work the clays of the region and incorporated their art forms and colors. Their product came to be known as Talavera. We are happy to pay about 20-25% above 'market' value to our artisans in Mexico in order to create a sustainable business for them as well as in the hopes of bringing up the standard of living of the community at large. Unlike other Mexican import companies we specialize in Mexican Talavera. We stand behind our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.』 fetish『 Yoga Mat Wash- 2oz Travel Size (All Natural) 』

IPhone 3G used's review (Love this tape - Brenda Strong is a wonderful teacher) 『I love traditional astanga yoga classes (fast pace, lots of flowing movement), so when I first ordered the tape, I was worried it would be too slow or too navel gazing. I love it. Brenda Strong is clear and positive without being treacly or too touchy-feely. She emphasizes breath and self-awareness, which some more fitness-guru types dabbling in yoga sometimes skip. Her instructions and demonstrations are easy to follow, and her manner is reassuring and firm. My friends who are yoga instructors reinforce that she's focusing on the right exercises to strengthen the reproductive organs.
I can't recommend this enough』
(Great yoga video but with two notes of caution) 『This is a great yoga video, with thorough and clear instructions for the poses along with reminders throughout the session to focus on your breath. I've been going to yoga classes for only a few months, and I would say that even a complete beginner can handle these exercises just by watching the video once before trying to follow along.
Unfortunately, the meditation/relaxation section was ruined for me by the fact that you're told to pause the video and relax for 5 or 10 minutes. There's no guidance for staying focused during that time or knowing when the time is up, and having to think about it necessarily detracts from your ability to relax.
Also, if you're actually dealing with infertility and tend to get emotional about it, you might be better off with a regular yoga video. The first time I did the routine happened to be a bad day for me for infertility-related reasons, and the video was a reminder of my problem that made me feel worse, not better. I have since tried it again and enjoyed it, but only when I've been in a strong and positive frame of mind. Many, if not most, of the poses in the video are pretty common and can be found in other videos, along with the relaxation element. If, on the other hand, you're looking specifically for the aspects of massage, channeling energy, and the mind-body connection focusing on the reproductive areas, this video is for you, but only if you're in the frame of mind to embrace them positively.』
(Best Ever) 『This is the best yoga tape I have ever done. I feel more at peace now than I ever have during this search for fertility.』
(Great!) 『A friend of mine knew that my husband and I are trying to conceive, so she bought this video for me as a gift.
I cannot express how much I LOVE this video. It is wonderful. I've been doing yoga little over a year and I rank in the intermediate range. I found the video to be clear, peaceful, and interesting. Brenda Strong is a beautiful woman, she has a very kind voice that guides you though the workout and the setting is out in a garden with birds chirping in the background. The moves that are done are very loving to the body and help increase energy around the reproductive areas.
This video is slow paced, effective, loving, and very feminine. I would highly recommend it to any woman.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Aerobic Yoga?) 『As a beginner to yoga, I was very surprised to see the fast pace of this workout. You barely get into position before Rodney jumps (literally) to a different one. He does not explain or talk you through most of this workout. It is very repetitious with lots and lots of upward and downward dogs and forward bends. I was disappointed with this video, as compared to Yoga for Athletes which sounds very, very daunting but has three levels of demonstration and Rodney slowly moves through the sessions and explains everything thoroughly. If this Power Yoga were the first one I had done, I would not have bought another.』
(Nicely flowing practice provides vigorous stretching) 『First of all, like all of the videos in the Living Arts"for Beginners"series, this tape assumes some prior familiarity with basic yoga poses, so"Yoga Practice for Beginners"is recommended as a first step. Secondly, because this is a"power"yoga workout, it moves along at a fairly quick pace, so some baseline staminia and strength is also a necessary prerequisite to this practice.
That being said, Rodney Yee has done a nice job of putting together a flowing, energizing 25-minute workout on this video. I particularly like how he gradually increases the difficulty level over the course of the practice. For example, when you first begin the sun salutations, you will step back to a lunge and put your knees on the floor before coming into cobra; on subsequent repetitions, you jump back instead and then move into a low push-up position before doing a full upward dog. Yee gradually adds on to the sun salutations with powerful pose, warrior poses, triangle, three-legged dog, and one of my favorite poses, pigeon--this is an especially nice hip opener. Following the standing poses, Yee comes to a seated position for simple seated forward bends: head to knee, wide-legged forward bend, and cobbler. Finally, Yee moves to reclined poses and offers a nice guided meditation in relaxation pose which is less rushed than in his other videos.
This is my favorite video in Yee's Power Yoga series. The practice flows at a nice, steady pace without feeling rushed, and the poses included provide excellent stretches, particularly for the hip area. This is a good video for anyone who wants a shorter yoga practice which is invigorating without being exhausting.』
(Great workout!) 『One word of caution...beginner. It really is best if you get the series (strength or stamina) and become really good at one of those first. This one is a little challenging if you are not in good shape already or if you unfamiliar with yoga poses. Otherwise, the tape is a solid workout and not too long. Before this workout I had a relatively weak upper body, but this has made me much stronger. I can now do several pushups, impossible five weeks ago. I have done tapes by three different people and I find Rodney Yee the best at explaining. It's true that he goes pretty quickly. MAny people who do yoga want a slow pace and more meditation. If that's you then this tape is not for you. But is you want to get stronger, more flexible and work up a ligh sweat, then this is the perfect tape.』
(Lower back pain relief) 『I am tall and I live in Japan, which is designed for small people. Lower back aches and pains are constant for me. I have several of Rodney Yee's Power Yoga videos, but this is the best one to help ease the lower back. If bending forward causes pain or discomfort (other than the stretch of muscles I wouldn't recommend this tape as it will probably only give you more pain! However, if you have a job with a lot of sitting or standing involved and you need a good stretch to relieve the tension - this is the tape! I agree with the comments that this is not a tape for beginners - but then most of the "beginner" series aren't really for beginners anyway. I had never done yoga before using Rodney Yee's "beginner" tapes. If you have good body awareness and start slowly you should be able to get the hang of the tape after 3-5 times.』
(Waste of money) 『Ill sum this up quick. This video was horrible. I like alot of Yees stuff, but this was a bad attempt to keep up with yoga trends. Pace was way too fast and the postures were hardly explained. Save the 9 bucks and put it twords Baptistes or Kests videos.』
IPhone 3G used's review (wonderful series) 『This series is an outstanding beginning to Yoga, or any other exercise routine. Yoga Zone gracefully overcame a paradox, which is to market teachings of a method that is so deeply against aggression and competition. They make mind-body awareness accessible to an audience who at best has seen bumper-stickers, posters, and flyers on the topic.
At the risk of enormous generalities, they are mainstream north-Americans, who do not appear to be rooted in ideological wars, neither on political, religious nor ethnic fronts. They tease out the essence of the yogic approach to spirituality and physiology, and present it, in a manner that is relevant to the experiences and needs of the secularly-minded western audience.
They also, remarkably, use the routine to compensate for the casualties of our hyper-technical, cushy lifestyle, and the pressures of our rigid work-ethic.
Personally, these videos alone introduced me to Yoga and to physiology in general. I have fibromyalgia, and I began to feel a lot better when I started following their stretches, and listening to their advice.
Those who are master yoga practitioners might take an interest in their delicate approach. For those who are not interested in Yoga, it offers an excellent model, of how to incorporate awareness into a physical fitness routine. The dynamic stretches presented would make great 20 minute warm-ups for a more strenuous cardio or resistance routine.
Wonderful, inspiring work.

Yoga Zone: Total Body Conditioning
Yoga Zone: Yoga for Abs
Yoga Zone: Introduction to Power Yoga 』
(YZ Basics) 『I would not recommend that beginners buy this as a place to start. It's really just short, separate segments from their TV series. I was expecting a more developed, explanatory format, like their other videos featuring Alan Finger (which are better). Those other videos are a much better place to start! This was a disappointing set.』
(Excellent for 1st Timers) 『I chose this beginners set because I had never done a yoga pose in my life... but was ready to begin. This is an excellent set for beginners. It is easily paced and (for the most part) the instructors are great at explaining the poses and what you should be feeling or reaching for. There seems to be 2 mistakes in the Total Body Conditioning - where they miss"doing the other side", and I'm not overly fond of the student-teacher's instruction in the second session on the same tape. However, I am extremely satisfied with the tapes and noticed improvements in my flexibility almost immediately. There are 2 ~15 minute sessions on each tape - and I beat the boredom by mixing the sessions together. (I have a short attention span!) If you've never done yoga, these tapes are a great place to start.』
(Perfect for beginners) 『These were my first yoga tapes; I'd never even tried yoga before. These tapes are great. At first it seems easy but then the next day, you're sore! Each tape has 2 sessions 16-17 minutes long, including a short guided relaxation/meditation at the end. The sessions have short intro's and flow smoothly and quickly. After doing yoga, one feels refreshed, not tired.』
(excellent first yoga tapes) 『I'm a yoga novice. After using a couple of hour-long Yoga Zone tapes for a little while (featuring instructor Alan Finger), my wife and I decided to look for shorter sessions. We've been very happy with this three-tape set, which includes six 20-minute sessions, lead by other Yoga Zone instructors.
One reason I love these tapes is that they all demonstrate modified versions of the poses for beginners and the less-flexible. Sometimes the instructors topple, too, which is good for the beginner ego. The second reason I love these tapes is (I must admit) one of the instructors is stunningly gorgeous. So every time my wife suggests doing yoga, I'm enthusiastic about it. Hey - every little extra bit of motivation helps, right?』

I recently purchased "Beautiful Belly" with Hemalayaa and will never use another work out video instructor. She is fun with a great attitude. The video has three different 12 minute workouts and a five minute warm up to keep boredom at bay. I started out doing the warm up, plus one of the three circuits. I am now able to do the full workout and my abs have never felt stronger!
Some of the dance moves require a lot of hopping and twisting so make sure your lower body joints are warmed up! If you are a klutz (like I can be) and the moves get too complicated, try doing jumping jacks or shimmying to keep the heartrate up. The idea is to mix cardio moves intermittenly with more specific ab work. You might want to research some very basic bellydance moves before starting because she may use words you are not familiar with. However, you can always just copy her movements.
IMPORTANT: This woman is obviously highly trained and very flexible. DO NOT attempt to make your moves look like hers unless you're very advanced. Most people will not form the perfect "Cobra" or "Downward Dog" the first time they try. She should talk more about your ability level, but since she doesn't, just keep it in mind!
This video is fun and addictive. The music is great and the set design is pleasing to the eye. I want to go out and buy a coin belt to start bellydancing now!』
(Wonderful!!) 『I LOVE Hemalayaa's dvds. I have been a fan of hers for quite some time, and though I try other dvds I still come back to hers time after time. Her dvds are effective, fun, and put a smile on my face. Every part of your body gets worked out, I always work up a sweat, and I always have fun. I have finally started to see some progress in my weight loss goals by using her Beautiful Belly dvd along with her first Bollywood dance dvd. I can't wait to try the other ones. 』
(Great workout!) 『This DVD is really fun and a great ab workout. I love the music, the set, and the moves. Hemalayaa is a great instructor with a lot of positive energy -- this DVD is a great addition to any home gym library.』
(Great workout that's also fun!) 『This is my favorite Hemalayaa DVD so far! I've been using it for nearly 2 weeks now, and my belly really is getting more beautiful-- by which I mean flatter and more taut. The workouts are fun and energizing, and you just can't help laughing along with Hemalayaa.』
(Don't Bother) 『I bought this dvd because everyone said how great Hemalayaa is. She is suppose to be a yogini that incorporates Bollywood flair into her workouts. I didn't like this video at all. I've been doing yoga for years--several times a week. I take class with instructors, do my own practice, and have several dvds that I enjoy. Halfway through this workout, I had had enough. She's all over the place. She provides poor instruction. There's a pilates section that is poorly done. She constantly has you switching direction so your belly never gets the benefit of the exercise. You're so busy trying to keep up with her changes that the workout isn't fun and not very beneficial. If you want an amazing yoga workout, try one of Ana Brett and Ravi Singh's dvds. If you're looking for more of an aerobic/dance workout, try something else.』 『Studio: Acorn Media Release Date: 05/27/2008 Run time: 42 minutes』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Love this pregnancy workout!) 『Great pregnancy workout for all fitness levels and stages of pregnancy! This is my favorite pregnancy workout DVD because it's challenging yet relaxing. I have enjoyed doing pilates (classes and DVD workouts) for a few years now, and I like how Tracey Mallett incorporates pilates, yoga, and light weight training for a well-rounded workout. I also like how the DVD is broken up into different segments, so I can do the whole thing if I have the time, or just 1-2 segments. I highly recommend this one!!』
(Easy to follow, perfect amount of challenge) 『This is one of my favorite of the four pregnancy workout videos I bought. She's positive without overdoing it, and explains each new part well. I definitely feel like I've done something when I finish this one, but it's not too challenging either.』
(Tracey Mallett's 3 in 1 Pregnancy System) 『Just OK, I was expecting more of an intense workout. This video has alot of stretching&I was wanting more Core&Strength intensity.』
(An invigorating prenatal workout) 『This DVD will be perfect for anyone seeking a moderate-to-high intensity prenatal workout. After trying a number of prenatal yoga and fusion DVDs and finding them too slow and not enough of a workout, this is the first prenatal workout DVD that really fit the bill for me. It incorporates all my favorite pilates exercises, only slightly modified to accommodate for pregnancy. The 3 sections allow you to customize your workout -- you can do a core-conditioning workout and combine it with either upper body or lower body, or do all three for a complete workout. Each section is only about 20 minutes so it's easy to fit at least one workout in every day.』
(Good for everyday use) 『I got this DVD and also the perfect pregnancy video. This one is great to use everyday. I have been active my whole life; recently doing gymnastics, karate and swimming. So I was in good shape before I got pregnant. I continued karate during the first trimester and then moved at the beginning of the second trimester and took a break from regular exercise. Then I got this DVD and started doing it everyday. I've never done yoga or pilates but Tracey explains it well. The only thing I can't understand is how to do kegel exercises, I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. For the workout you need three pillows, a towel (I use a workout mat though), and weights. I like how sweet and encouraging Tracey is. There are some sound level changes but it's not a problem for me. I always feel better after the workout. It's not like a karate workout, but I can feel my muscles toning and stretching which is nice. It's a calming and soothing workout. I bought the perfect pregnancy workout DVD to have something a little more challenging if I felt up to it. I've done it on the beginner level and I definitely felt the workout later that day and the next morning.
So if you would like a nice workout that is easy to do everyday, then this is a great choice. If you can't make up your mind (like I couldn't), then I would recommend getting two videos to supplement each other. I am happy with the combination I got: Tracey's 3 in 1 and the Perfect Pregnancy Workout. This way I have choices and if the perfect workout gets too easy there are two more advanced levels to do. But when I am tired or don't feel like getting too sweaty, I do the 3 in 1 workout.』 『3 Disciplines:Pilates/Yoga/Body SculptingSoothing Yoga will calm Pilates will maintain flexibility and improve posture and weight exercises will sculpt your way to a beautiful physique.3 Stages:Pre-Pregnancy/9 Months/Post PregnancyPerfect for any woman "expecting to be expecting." She's 5 now and appreciates that the poses are ABC related and in order. She likes making the animal moves and it just adds to the other 2 in the series. Great for kids...keeps them active and engaged.』
(ABC fantastic) 『This video is a VERY child friendly. It is an awesome video. It really focuses on how fun movement and stretching is using basic yoga techniques. It is fun, playful, and imaginative without being complicated and flashy. The over all approach of learning through doing gives it a very Montessori feel. I highly recommend it to any parent.』
(Fit for kids) 『These DVDs are absolutely fantastic. My children, boy (6) and girl (5), get up in the morning and put the DVD in and do yoga on their own. They've proudly written their names on their newly acquired yoga mats and talk about how strong they'll be in a few months by doing their yoga regularly. My wife was sceptical that it will be a waste of money, but they've proven her dead- wrong.』
(Great gift for kids 5 and 3, boys and girls alike!) 『Bought this DVD after my kids ages 5 and 3 loved the first Yoga Kids DVD. I bought them kid yoga mats too which they love. They have been doing these for months and now ask to do 2 videos a night before bed. It's great fun to watch them and know it's a really good thing. This would be a great gift for a toddler with a kids yoga mat. A great way to direct lots of energy!』
(too much eastern philosophy included) 『The exercises in this video were pretty good, but I was not expecting all of the eastern buddhist mumbo jumbo philosophy that the teacher directed at the children. I had to turn it off because I did not want my 4 year old son hearing or repeating phrases like "i am you and you are me", or "i am the light in you and you are the light in me", and "om" and "namaste", and "be the flower". Not what I was expecting, and very disappointing. IPhone 3G used's review (Does what it says) 『It's colorful and fun. Washed it by itself a couple times at first to keep the color from bleeding as suggested by other reviews. The towel is a little slick dry, so I spray it down with a little bit before I start my workouts so that my hands stick to it. The sweat that develops during the workout takes over later. It doesn't skid all over my mat. Like this product alot.』
(YOGA TOWEL SLIPS) 『THE TOWEL DOES SLIP WHEN YOU ARE STANDING ON IT. IT IS VERY ANNOYING. I HAVE TO STAND ON THE FLOOR TO DO THE MOVE .』
(Absolute Must for Hot Yoga!!!) 『If you love hot yoga, you'll love this towel! I no longer slip on my sweaty mat, especially with downward dog. I do hot yoga 5 times a week and own three of them so I don't have to do laundry every night. Quality is great; they launder very well; just hold the fabric softener. May be a bit pricey but there isn't another quality alternative.』
(better control over my poses) 『The towel minimizes slipping during poses. although it does not eliminate slipping altogether, it does help. I like how it keeps the mat clean from the dripping sweat during hot yoga.』
(Essential Yoga Tool!) 『I absolutely love this towel. It adds such luxury to yoga practice. Because I suffer from knee and hip pain, I need extra padding and support beneath my feet. This used in combination with a thicker mat is exactly what I need. Also, it's essential if you perspire during yoga. Very absorbent and VERY soft.』 『Once you experience a SKIDLESS towel from Yogitoes you'll wonder how you ever practiced yoga without it! (inversion chair for yoga) 『I tried the other inversion chair that has 4 rigid legs before buying this one. The rigid-legged chair has a smaller footprint and is a little tippy if you practice scorpion on it. This one folds up, so I take it to yoga class and have my students work with it. This inversion chair also is lower to the ground and seems friendlier to my students. It's also half the price of the solid chair. The quality is decent, you just have to pay attention to the lock pins and make sure they're all the way through the tube before you execute your inversions. This is a good deal. You will develop more confidence in your yoga practice. Buy this for yourself!』
(Ease the difficulty) 『I don't write many reviews but I am making an exception for this item. I am in my early 50's and I like to challenge myself while staying safe. I bought this unit a little over a year ago and am still using it. This stand is relatively small, sturdy and well padded. I was amazed how the headstand, a yoga pose that was relatively difficult and challenging, for me, was made so much easier with this prop. For me, the need for a mirror was crucial in the beginning to verify true verticality and not my perception of it. It takes me about three minutes to set it up and the same to fold and put away. The padding is great for holding the pose in comfort. I bought my stand for $50 with free shipping from this website and thought it was a good deal until I read Eduardo Nietzsche's review indicating an even cheaper one. More importantly, instead of adding my review right away, I decided to try the headstand before going to bed. Although, I have no trouble falling or staying asleep, I benefited from this suggestion and am grateful for it. Perhaps the muscles tensing to hold the pose is enough to induce consequent relaxation leading to an even faster and deeper sleep. In conclusion, it you are going to make this stand part of your regular exercise program, it is a good item and I hope that you will enjoy it!
