However, I like music with a bit more rythym for Sun Salutations/vinyasas, after the 1st quarter of the CD. It is a nice CD for small gatherings as well.』
(Great all around CD!) 『I am a Yoga instructor, and purchased the CD with my classes in mind. I wanted something a little different than my usual traditional music, and this was! It is a great blend of modern western beats meets eastern lounge like music. There is a good mix of soft and upbeat songs great for a yoga practice with variety. The music tracks are also wonderful for entertaining and peaceful relaxation.』
(Ideal for Yoga!) 『This is definitely a WONDERFUL choice for Yoga, perfect actually. Great transitions and progression throughout. Takes you on a Yoga journey planned just for you! I highly recommend this album and also Yoga Salon, two great yoga titles.』
(Yoga Moods) 『After a long day at work, I like to drive home listening to soothing and relaxing music. When I heard Yoga Moods, I made three CD copies, one for my car, one for my office and one d/l for my ipod. Yoga Moods takes you to a place of tranquility and a place of sanctuary. The sounds are mezmerizing. I highly recommend this title for any yoga enthusiast and anyone who enjoys relaxing music.』
(Perfect for Yoga and everything else) 『I heard this in yoga class the other day and thought it was the best music for yoga I had every heard. Unlike other yoga music CDs that have music from India or meditation music, this one has a blend of hip downtempo electronica tracks that are not only perfect for yoga, they are also great for entertaining friends or just relaxing at home. It's mixed by the Gordon Brothers who also did the Buddha-Lounge series that is really great too. Check it out!"』 『Find Inner Balance - Discover a mellow spot where you can unwind, feel centered and renew your body, mind and spirit. I purchased Liquid Mind III years ago it's music became almost sacred to myself and other family members and friends. So, I purchased the entire series! Need I say more?!!!! The music has a great "trademark" sound but each CD has it's own uniqueness. I found it was great anytime you need "background" music. I loved each and every CD by Liquid Mind and will treasure the music always. Thanks to Chuck Wild and all involved in the production of Liquid Mind!』
(ok massage music) 『It's a little slow and boring for my taste, but it provides for constant airy sound. Typical spa music.』
(JUST MELT) 『When the day is through and nothing is left but the thoughts of the day that you wish would go away put on this music. Close your eyes, your mind, and melt away on the soft liquid sounds of this calming energy. IT is so soothing I can forget my noise filled mind and find a cloud to stretch out onto and just be......nothing』
(Exactly what I was looking for) 『I always tried to relax by listening to classical music. Some classical is relaxing, but it can change tempo and volume often which I find distracting. This is much more calming then anything I've ever found. We have two of these cd's -- Reflection and Unity. I use it in the kitchen, or while I'm reading at bedtime. My 10-year-old listens to one at bedtime to help him calm down. I really love these cd's.』
(A perfect CD for Massage) 『As a massage therapist, it is really tough to find appropriate music for a session. This CD hits the mark. No singing, chanting, or other distracting bird calls. Just pure melodious tunes that flow from one song to the other. My clients love this CD and you will too.』 『"...In an agitated stream, it is difficult to see a reflection. In a calm lake, that reflection is clear...."
Liquid Mind VII: Reflection, the seventh in Liquid Mind 's unique ultra-slow relaxation albums, ebbs and flows with a peaceful and introspective elegance. Science has proven that our minds and bodies harmonize with the tempo of our surroundings, and that slow music may cause a general relaxation of muscle tension. This beautiful album is "musical healthcare" at its best: ideal for sleeping, meditation, anxiety and anger management, as a background to Reiki, Yoga, massage, and to enhance all healing activities. Parents and teachers find it useful to quiet hyperactive kids, veterinarians use the music to help animals recovering from surgery, mothers give birth to it, students study to it, artists paint and writers write to the musical backdrop of Liquid Mind. This subtle music has a way of opening our hearts and minds to our true selves.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Very good routine&great value, but problems with dialogue) 『I have been practicing hatha Yoga for about 10 years, and admittedly there are inconsistencies in my practice. A few months back I began Yoga teacher training to strengthen my practice and help other along their path. I purchased this set to work on specific areas, primarily my hamstrings and lower back. My previous experience in home study was mostly with the Sivananda Companion to Yoga and the teachings of Ashtanga guru David Swenson-both formidable sources for Yogis of any level.
Pros: I really like how much is included, and the layout of the set. The solar and lunar are complete routines, gently transitioning from one series of postures to another. There is a lot here and Shiva Rea is quite clearly an accomplished Yogi who manages to convey compassion with a very solid base of teachings.
Con: The dialogue! For my tastes, Rea tends towards excessive verbosity or the occasional lack of detail in describing positioning and breathing. On the solar disc, during the end portion of track 1 and beginning of track 3, it feels like you are just left hanging as Rea goes on and on. This might be what you are looking for the first time or thru two, but I didn't find it easy to find much of a rhythm with repeated use.
I haven't given up on this set, but I don't see it being the everyday routine I can groove with like I was hoping.』
(A great yoga CD you can customize to your available time) 『I needed help sleeping and use the PM yoga suggestions for a 30 minute session before bed. I love the options they suggest and have used many variations. Shiva R. has a nice calming voice. I highly recommend this CD.』
(A Place of Peace) 『This is my first audio purchase so I can't compare it to other yoga CDs. I can say that I thoroughly enjoy the practice. It is actually a relief to listen without feeling like I have to look at the television when using a DVD. The cues are great!』
(Great practice) 『I am so happy I found this cd! I started doing yoga at the gym about a month ago, but quickly found myself wanting something I could do anywhere, on the beach, in the woods, ect. I first bought Tracy Rich's Yoga Anywhere and was hugely disapointed as it was way too easy and could only be done in your home, not outside as she she asks you to use chairs, doorways, kitchen sinks ect.
This cd was my second try and I feel I got it right this time. The practice is challenging to me as a beginner which I like, I want to be able to practice and work on improving. I like that there are poses in this cd that I cannot already do. I feel like I've gotten a great workout after using this cd, one that comes close to actually going to class.
It will take some time of looking at the poses and coordinating the practice to know what she is telling me to do, but after a few times more of listening and looking I should have a great portable practice that I can do anywhere, anytime.
I am bringing this to Belize with me next month for the month so I can still do yoga even though I won't be able to make it to class. Thank you Shiva Rae!』
(awsome) 『I've had this CD set for about a year and a half now. It is one of the best investments I have made in my yoga practice. $20 is nothing for what this CD offers. Doing yoga at home to this CD, using combinations of various tracks has brought my yoga practice to a higher level. I notice it when I go to actual classes. It's nice to have the private space of one's home to work on poses. It's also nice to have guidance. So often I tell myself I'll just do the CD for 45 minutes. Next thing I know, it's an hour and 45 minutes later and I've just had a killer yoga session, feeling so much better than when I started. Shiva Rea has a great voice, great pacing, great music, great thoughts to inspire yoga practice, etc. This is a great way to save money on yoga classes. You can still go to class, just less often. I love that this is a CD rather than a DVD/video. I have no desire to do yoga with the TV on. Light some candles, set up your sacred yoga space, and get yoga-fied at home. Highly recommended.』
IPhone 3G used's review (I got results) 『I've used this tape (now DVD) for several years in combination with walking/jogging and have experienced satisfying results. Not only am I more limber, but I've developed long and lean muscles. I've taken years of yoga and dance, and feel that this tape is a pretty good combination of strength, stretch and balance. I've even brought it with me on vacation, because I think it's a nice way to start off the day!』
(Wow, my butt hurts!) 『I do agree with one reviewer that this video does not give enough instruction with the pilates section. The pilates section is (in my humble opinion) high intermediate/advanced. Beginners beware! There's not enough modification presented! The yoga portion was a lot of fun, flowed well, but was not too difficult. I think the entire video flows very well. The best part is that my butt and abs get a great workout. I even feel it the next day. If you're looking to work up a sweat building strenth in the lower body, this is for you!』
(Better Than I Expected) 『This tape was definitely more effective than I imagined it would be. I perspired (the heater was on, but that wasn't the only reason, I'm sure) and felt challenged but not tortured. The combination of pilates, yoga, dance, etc. really made the workout very fluid and non-work-out like...it went much faster because she moved on to one exercise after another...and I didn't feel any particular move was overdone.
Overall...effective workout. Much better than I had anticipated.』
(The more I use it, the better it gets) 『I have many many fitness tapes, and I always come back to this one. I love this tape so much that I had to write just to counteract all the people who only WATCHED the tape without doing it, got hung up on how the instructors looked, or just didn't know how to do the moves. If you are not familiar with yoga or pilates, go for the YF - Beginners Basics tape, this one is probably better for people already familiar with proper form. This tape is the perfect length - 40 minutes - and the pacing is fantastic. You get your heart rate up and your muscles warm and streched in the beginning, flow through increasingly challenging yoga asanas interspersed with tai-chi and dance (feels great), and finish up with powerful pilates moves that never fail to make my abs and butt burn. Then, a fabulous cool down ending with the lovely "goddess pose." If you are looking for a challenging, varied, and balanced workout that will get your heart rate up yet still provide the mind/body/spirit benefits of conscious breathing and movement, this is the tape. I always feel great when I finish, and I have seen exactly the results I was after. I only wish there were more to choose from. I have YF strength and sculpt, and it isn't the fantastic mix this tape is. Its more straight yoga.』
(cardio yoga) 『The first part of this video does a good job of blending dance, qi gong, yoga, and traditional strength moves into a 25 min cardio workout. It does help to have some familiarity with yoga, but her instruction is fine and she doesn't move quickly at all. Teigh begins with some dancey, qi-gong like warmups and then moves into sun salutations that work up a sweat, challenging flexibility and strength. I find this part of the workout really enjoyable; it reminds me of 3-Dimensional Toning with no ballet and more yoga. However, the pilates core segment that follows is horrible. She does not give enough instruction or guidance on the proper form, and a beginner attempting to follow her onscreen moves will likely hurt him/herself; also, for some idiotic reason, the one who is supposed to be demonstrating modifications isn't. Why have someone doing modifications for some exercises and not for others?! Fortunately, this lasts for only five minutes. (For someone who isn't familiar with pilates, I highly recommend reading "The Pilates Body" or viewing an instructional pilates tape before attempting to do this portion of the video -- or just fast forward.) She redeems the workout with some punishing hamstring/gluteal work and leg exercises that are almost as difficult; a fine series of stretches follows. I really like this tape, but can't ignore the terrible lack of instruction during the pilates segment.』
IPhone 3G used's review (GREAT workout for Intermediates!!) 『This is a high energy workout for someone who likes to do yoga but has a hard time getting the motivation for cardio. It is fast paced and fun, and if you are familiar with basic yoga poses is a great addition to your yoga practice!!』
(Yoga) 『My mom had gotten this on VHS a few years back and I loved it then. I knew its one of the only Yoga DVDs that doesn't concentrate on the spiritual ideas but incorporates some ideas with the exercise. I am not big on the spiritual concepts of Yoga but I love the movements. The cardio workout is hard for beginners but it is easy to learn.』
(Denise Austin - Fat Blasting YOGA video) 『This is an excellent exercise video. It combines cardio with YOGA moves for a total body workout. Very good!!!』
(I have to disagree with the negative reviews of this workout!) 『I've had this DVD workout now for a few years, and I have to say I really love it! I know some find Denise's chirpy style annoying, but I don't think she's like that at all in this DVD.. and I must say I've never heard her say 'Yea yoga' - and I've done this DVD hundreds of times! perhaps its in the intro??
I find this a fantastic all over workout that is surprisingly effective in toning up given I'm generally a cardio workout lover.. I always feel so incredibly energised by this workout. I actually feel healthier and more alive at the end of it! seriously!
This is NOT however a spiritual type yoga DVD - it's a little faster paced than that and doesn't have that kind of yoga music that those type of DVDs do.. but I don't mind that, I see this as somewhere between a workout and yoga - and I really like that..
It's also fab for doing during that time of the month, rather than a full on cardio workout - as it's nurturing as well as energising and strenuous.
The only caution I would give is about the move which involves putting one foot up above the other knee and then sitting back. I pulled my back on this move and I'd never had a back problem before, so I'd warn people to be very very careful on that move - and also the big toe stretch which also seems to pull on that same lower back muscle that I pulled. Maybe that's specific to me - but just be careful. I just do the chair pose while she's doing these ones. It's only a minute or so, so it doesn't affect the overall workout at all.
You will need a yoga/pilates ball though for the third section, and ideally also a yoga mat. Though I did it on the carpet for quite a while before I got a mat and it was fine..
I feel this workout has really stood the test of time for me. I keep coming back to it, and really enjoy the workout.
I highly recommend it..』
(good work out) 『I got this disc on sale, and it was my first of Denise Austin. I like Denise's style, and had never done yoga before using this disc. I like the workouts, I feel like I taking it kind of easy, but still getting a good work out if i do the first segment alone. On a really good day I go through all the segments, however there are a couple moves in the strength section that I will never be able to do and there are some movements in the ball section that i dont have room for in my living room. I had no problems catching on to the workout; since i got the disc i've taken several yoga classes at my gym and still use this workout at home.』 『This well-designed program combines fast-paced yoga moves for fat-burning, hatha yoga poses for strength and flexibility, and stability ball exercises for core conditioning in three segments that can be done in one 60-minute session, or separately. Segment 1 builds patterns based on strong yoga poses such as the Warrior and Balancing Stick, adding lifts and lunges at a fast pace so that you're breathing faster and working the muscles simultaneously. Segment 2 is strength training by holding poses. Segment 3 focuses on core strength with a stability ball. Some familiarity with yoga is helpful--Austin doesn't give much instruction about breathing or the fine points of the poses--but not required. Although Austin talks nonstop, as always, her voice is quieter than usual and more fitting for this workout. (The repetitive, rhythmic music, however, is distracting rather than supportive.) Recommended for intermediate exercisers because no modifications are shown, and many of the poses are challenging.--Joan Price』
IPhone 3G used's review (This is Gentle Yoga, but not for beginners.) 『I loved this video. But, I must say if you have never done Yoga before anywhere you would have to watch this video maybe 2-3 times before trying it. Without any previous Yoga experience this would seem like the wrong video. But, once you are accustomed to it I think it is a great video.』
(I wore this video out.) 『This video was my first real introduction to Yoga and I love it. I didn't have a problem with the pacing. If I had problems with a pose I just backed the video up, watched her carefully then tried it myself. Everything takes practice and yoga is no exception. I hope the reviews by the people who had problems with the pacing won't turn you off to this video. Please keep in mind that this is not an introduction to yoga video. Just because it says beginner in the title, it doesn't mean that it's an introduction to the basics video. If you have most of the basic down then this video would be a wonderful addition to your home practice. I, personally, don't use this video anymore - I wore the tape out. I considered repurchasing it but instead, I took it as a sign that it was time for me to move on in my yoga practice. I would purchase it again though.』
(Rocket Speed Yoga) 『I was originally only purchasing a YogaKids tape when I saw this"Gentle Yoga"tape. So without any research, I purchased this tape. Instead of being a relaxing 30 minutes, the host rushes the viewer from pose to pose and all the while she constantly says breath in and breath out- she also doesn't say whether you should be breathing through the nose or mouth.
Finally, the picture quality of the tape was grainy. Save your money or at least find another tape.』
(Excellent with a little practice and patience) 『I was troubled when I began to use this video, because of the confusing pace and the constant reminding to inhale and exhale, but after a week or so of practice, I began to see the benefits. It takes a little practice, but if you stick with it, you'll find that Ms. Deason's instruction is perfect for those who plan to use this video on a routine basis. If she had gone slower, or added more instruction within the workout portion of the video, I would quickly become annoyed with having to listen over and over again to how to perform a pose I'd been doing for weeks. Don't give up! You'll find that you no longer need to look at the TV at all, and the gentle instructions (especially"inhale"and"exhale") keep you calm and centered, and in the rhythm of the practice. I am trying to lose a significant amount of weight, and although some poses are more difficult to attain due to my size, I have found that this exercise puts me more in touch with my body than any other I've tried.』
(Definitely NOT for Beginners) 『I have purchased other videos from this company and been extremely pleased with them. That's why I decided to buy this tape for my sister when she inquired about video recommendations to start a yoga practice. Fortunately I tried it out before sending it on to her. I never did. It is definitely not for beginners. I have had a regular yoga practice for three years and it was too much for me. I found the verbal cuing impossible to follow. And it is highly undesireable, if not impossible, to have to constantly look up at the tv screen while trying to do yoga.』 『If you want to practice yoga but need a modified approach because of age, flexibility, medical condition, or preference, this video makes yoga accessible to you. Instructor Suzanne Deason (a lovely, vital, mature woman) adapts basic yoga postures that focus on the legs, spine, and abdomen so you can experience the benefits without strain. The postures will still be challenging, but you'll be able to learn them. This 30-minute workout includes a 10-minute gentle warm-up, an 18-minute workout for strength and flexibility, and a 2-minute deep relaxation so that you finish centered and serene. You use a support block when you can't reach the floor and a strap (you could substitute a towel or scarf) when you can't reach your foot. The scene is a craggy beach, waves crashing on the rocks. The verbal instruction is so exact that you can do many postures with your eyes closed. No experience necessary. "Connect to your inner strength and vitality," Deason invites you.--Joan Price』

Pranamaya, Inc
Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (End Suffering From Back Pain) 『This is an extremely professional high quality DVD by Gary Kraftsow, one of the world's leading yoga therapy experts with over 30 years experience, who designed the yoga therapy protocol used in the National Institutes of Health Study that successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of yoga therapy for relieving back pain. Results of this groundbreaking study were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine back in 2005.
Gary now provides the protocols used in the study in this highly educational instructional DVD - a gift for anyone who has ever struggled with low back pain. The DVD has four main chapters:
1. Understanding Back Pain
The first chapter is an in-depth academic presentation about back pain that includes discussion about types of back pain, causes of back pain, an introduction to back, sacrum, and hip anatomy, and basic biomechanics. He then briefly discuss what yoga is and the goals of the yoga therapy for back pain DVD - to reduce pain, increase circulation, improve function, and increase overall sense of well being. While a bit clinical, this is important information for increasing our awareness about the back, its structure, how it works, and what we can do to care for it.
2. Techniques Workshop
In the second chapter, Gary explains each posture (exercise) performed in the therapeutic practices chapter including instructions for how to breathe, how to move, and what sensations to expect. A model demonstrates each posture while Gary explains what is happening in the pose and why it is beneficial.
3. Therapeutic Practices
Three therapeutic practices are provided in Chapter 3, as well as guidelines for how to use the practices. The first practice is a 23-minute series of postures designed to rehabilitate the low back and sacrum. All the poses are done on the floor, either on your back, belly, or hands and knees. These are very basic poses that focus on slow repetition.
The second therapeutic practice is a 31-minute series that focuses on stretching, strengthening, and balancing the hips. Many of the poses from the first practice are repeated here, with additional poses specifically for the hips.
The third practice builds upon the first two. It is a stronger practice designed to build sustained low back, sacrum, and hip health. Several basic standing poses are included in addition to the poses done on the stomach and back.
Viniyoga Therapy for low back, sacrum, and hips is a serious DVD designed to address a serious problem - low back pain. Anyone who has ever suffered from low back pain knows just how debilitating it can be.
I turned to yoga more than a decade ago seeking relief from sciatica and back pain. Although Viniyoga teachers are not that common where I live, I had the opportunity to take several classes from a teacher who had studied with Gary. The focus on function over form and repetitive movements brought immediate relief not experienced with other styles of yoga.
The set is uncluttered and simple - just a single model demonstrating the routines, while Gary provides expert voiced over instruction. His delivery is calm and monotone. There is no music to distract you from concentrating and paying attention to what you are doing - one of the tenants of Viniyoga Therapy.
If you suffer from low back pain and are in the market for a Yoga DVD containing therapeutic yoga practices with proven success in helping relieve back pain you may want to consider investing in Viniyoga Therapy for Low Back, Sacrum, and Hips.
Highly Recommended』
(Educational and thorough, good for beginners) 『I've been doing yoga for several years, but specifically the last year for my lower back. When I'm not doing the poses given by my physical therapist twice a day, I have preferred Rodney Yee--especially "For Back Care."
This DVD is excellent. His lecture at the beginning is very thorough, although a bit akward. However, the verbal instructions for the exercises are excellent. There were not many new poses for me here, but excellent variations and more repetitions than I was doing. I could feel the difference. The mp3 versions are also a nice touch--saves me a step to get it on my ipod for traveling.
I have only done the "Low Back and Sacrum," but this will be a daily staple. After a century (100 mile bike ride) weekend before last, the chirporactor didn't quite get my back in place. I can already feel the difference from one workout.
This is excellent for beginners because it is very slow moving and gentle. At the top of the screen, you always have the option to click for more specific instructions on each pose.』
(Viniyogatherapy VERY HELPFUL! Highly Recommend!!!) 『After having chronic low back and right leg pain for four years, I chose this DVD to help me recover from surgery. The stretches and exercises have helped me more than anything else! It's very relaxing and effective to release tension in the muscles.』
(I thought I would fall asleep) 『I know part of yoga is to be calming, however you have to get tot the yoga...He just goes on and on and on and on...by now everyone in the world knows what yoga is.
Also the 3 segments are the same exercises...please...it wasn't worth the money』
(Viviyoga Therapy for Low Back, Sacrum&Hips - Kraftsow) 『I purchased both of Gary Kraftsow videos and they were very similar so that wasn't expected. I'm relatively new to yoga so was trying to find a video that was slow enough for me to follow yet provided enough benefit to continue - both of these would fall into that category.』 『This DVD features short, simple therapeutic yoga practices carefully designed to alleviate pain and promote health in the low back, sacrum and hips.
For the first time ever on DVD, benefit from the expert guidance of Gary Kraftsow, one of the world's leading yoga therapists. Founder of the American Viniyoga Institute, Gary is the designer of the only yoga practices demonstrated to be effective for back pain in a National Institutes of Health-sponsored clinical study. If you are one of the 8 out of 10 Americans who have or will experience back pain, make the powerful therapeutic practices on this DVD a part of your everyday regimen for health and well-being!』
IPhone 3G used's review (Looked great on TV, but........) 『This really looked good and fairly simple on all the infomercials, but if you live in a small space, without hard floors, it's very difficult. Trying to do the slides, small hops, etc. on carpet wasn't easy. And if you have any kind of back problems, then forget it! A lot of sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, etc. needed. Although I think this would be very effective, I'm unable to do it. I was very disappointed.』
(10 Minute Workout) 『I don't think the product works as advertised. It is very difficult to follow along and to find a space big enough to do the exercises as shown. I would not recommend this to anyone. Looked good in the ads, but didn't work in practice.』
(Good but Fast Moving) 『Great program. Gets you up and moving quickly but sometimes a little too fast! He doesn't take the time to explain or properly show or demonstrate the moves before doing them so the first few times of watching and working out to the videos were a bit difficult but it gets easier and you can catch on in a fairly quick manner. I do suggest only viewing the program first before popping the disc in and getting started right away.』
(Has anyone lost weight?) 『Hello all, I see that the majority of you like the 10 Minute workout, but I have not heard anyone say they have lost weight or seen noticable changes in their bodies that the video raves about.
