『My daughter laid claim to the first one of these I bought and has been using it for gym shoes etc. She's in college. I bought two more, one for a gift and one for my son. He uses his to haul around games and controllers and odds and ends when he visits friends.
These are a nice size and nicely made. I'm not sure if they're waterproof but they look at least water resistant. These are not girlie looking at all, pretty much no nonsense and functional looking.
They're a nice extra to throw in if you're buying other Turfer products. I've been very happy with everything I've purchased from them.』

『I'm so pleased with the superior quality of this shawl! Obviously made with loving care and attention to the most minute detail. And what you can't tell from the picture is how warm and soft it is next to the skin. The rich, deep colors enhance it's warmth. I purchased this shawl to use while meditating during our long, frozen upstate new york winters but I will also wear it evenings out over a little black dress or jeans and t-shirt as well as at home snuggled up with a book. Definitely one of my best purchases through Amazon.

『Prayer Shawlsare meant to keep the body warm during prayers and meditation. This wrap dress is used by both men and women and is large enough to cover the entire body while sitting in meditation postures. The designs on thesePrayer Shawlsare quite similar to those of paisley shawls, i.e. jacquard weaving in Indian motifs and patterns.

Shawl weaving was a prestigious vocation in India, and was reserved for men. It was extremely time consuming too. Two Indian weavers, sitting side by side at the loom, could take up to three years to produce a top quality shawl, the price of which might be equivalent to that of a house. When women in the west fell in love with these Indian imports, European weavers attempted to produce a similar product at a lesser price, which resulted in the invention of the jacquard loom. In the first half of the 19th century, Europeans copied the designs of these Indian shawls. One of the towns where the shawls were produced was Paisley, near Glasgow, whose name became synonymous with both the shawls and the teardrop or pinecone motif, which decorated them.
